In which episode ML and FL unite? Are there any misunderstandings between them after their union?
Iirc, ep 7 is when ml found out he and fl were past lovers, but they didn't get back together. Then in ep 9 he found out the reason for the break-up and why fl did what she did. And ep 11 is when they got back together officially.
Yes, a huge misunderstanding actually because ml forgot again. The drama calls it "love amnesia".
I didn't have much expectations for this I had almost forgotten about it, but seems like it's coming soon. I'm not familiar with the ml but looking forward to PEB back in a historical drama.
A typical cold man warm woman boss-employee office romance. And this drama wasn't kidding with the amnesia plot. In the second half the main cp's story became repetitive that I actually enjoyed the 2nd cp (they're likable) scenes more. Overall, other than the loud bgm, still watchable.
10/30 and my opinion on WY had changed. He went from likable in my eyes to "definitely no second lead syndrome" here. And why was he surprised that Qi thought the entertainer was his concubine when he spent the night with her and was basically at the brothel with her all the time..? Also YY, just when I was starting to warm up to him, he goes and compete with Qi.
Their scenes are still fun, but YZ's the only guy I trust now. And Qi is still as funny as ever "give me back my leg" and ripping YZ's clothes instead of hers. lol The height difference is cute as well. LS can really make scenes that I usually find cringey into funny and enjoyable.
I don't know where the plot is heading but Lusi's styling in this is *chef's kiss* my fave of all her dramas.
First impression 3 eps in... LMAO they're chaotic. A-Qi is so cool, she's beauty, brains and skills. Lusi's comedic timing, little gestures and expressions are on point. So far I like her relationship with her family (esp. her dad lol), her bff (2ml) and her maidservant (who seems to have taken after her masters lol).
This is my first XKC drama, he looks good and so far I think he fits the character. Ml is stern but not "awful for no reason" jerk like many mls. The 2ml is likable, he's supportive but doesn't force himself in certain situations and lets the fl do her thing. And one thing you can trust Lusi with is chemistry. I feel it with ml and 2ml here. Her synergy with 2ml is good, they're believable as childhood friends. ZLS and RH being from Chengdu probably helps.
Overall, a really good first impression, and it was worth the wait. Looking forward to the rest of the eps. Also, the scene with the dog was so adorable~
This was a lot of cringe, screaming, crying and overreacting. The fl and ml are both unlikable. I wasn't rooting for them individually or as a cp.
Overall, other than the fl being a scandalous lovesick alcoholic and the ml needing a therapist the whole time, there's nothing memorable about this drama.
It's the typical city girl goes to countryside and meets/reunites with a guy trope, except fl has a bf in the city. I dislike cheating, esp. since the bf is nice, so the main cp flirting the whole time didn't sit well with me no matter how cute they were at times. But it's short so I was able to finish it. It's a typical GMM drama, light enough as a pastime.
A feel good drama. It's got typical leads but they're likable. The fl is naive but not annoying/dumb, and the ml lacks EQ but not "awful for no reason". It also has a typical plot, but the cp actually communicate so conflicts didn't drag long and the ending fits, esp. fl's decision.
I usually prefer costume cdramas, I only started this (seeing Lord 7 as ml) as a pastime while waiting for a different drama, but I ended up enjoying this.
The moment I saw fl in nice clothes even though she's supposed to be poor, I decided to disregard logic so I was still able to enjoy this despite the plotholes. The ml also looked weird at times, probably just the angle/lighting/make-up. Despite that, the cp's chemistry was good.
I have some doubts, if anyone could clear them1. How did Gene know his father was gay? This was never shown or…
This is late but, here's my take.
1. They probably knew their parents' life/history including the dad being bi. Notice how Jap wasn't shocked with the fact that their dad dated guys before, but on how disappointed he was at the way their dad handled his brother's situation. The mom's shocked expression was not because Gene knows, but more on how he used that fact to talk back against his dad. She had the same response when Jap talked back to his dad. They were disrespecting their father.
2. Where did you watch for it to be a mistranslation? Iirc, the dad said, doesn't mean he doesn't love his wife. So he does love his wife. The reason why he still remembers the past is because he was hurt/judged by others and he probably held back feelings/ran away. That's why he didn't want Gene to experience it, then later on praised Gene for not running away and told him to love all his might even if he is destined to lose that person.
3. It could be Sib's character, to lay low and wait for his contract to end. I assume that period is when the series aired, so Sib probably wanted to lay low and not cause trouble for Gene, personally and legally. When they reunited, Sib said he'd been waiting. He'd been waiting all that time for Gene to realize/accept him. I think he understood Gene's reaction considering it was his first gay relationship and for the whole country to see/judge at that, so he gave him time/space and adjusted to his pace.
4. It's not random, it's on-character with Nubsib and on brand with the theme. Sib isn't a writer, so when Gene asked for suggestions his response was not an original idea but those popular/cliché fairytale/stories in "their version". And instead of just Sib saying his suggestions out loud, the production made a visual of the scenes which are on brand since this is bl and what Gene is writing is bl. Even the breaking of the fourth wall and bubbly "The End" closing is on point.
Any intimate skinship is very much welcome, but forehead to forehead couldn't even pass censorship, not to mention the recent situation. So realistically, I'm expecting same as donghua and maybe with few seconds of slow-mo/close-up/staring.
Can anyone tell me in which chapter they get together and their first kiss!?
I saw your question again and I just wanna be clear that I only replied with the first kiss chapters because iirc, there's no actual scene of them declaring their status. Throughout the story, they had their moments, the development was natural and tacit.
About the married question, there's no wedding chapter if that's what you meant (though some consider the Ghost Bride Groom arc in a way, with bride XL, groom HC and all the red). They did become a couple at the end of the main story, but the extras are where the detailed moments are at.
The romance in this is quite fascinating depending on which pov. On XL its innocent, of friends to lovers, while on HC its intense devotion for 800 years, of worship to love.
Watched this in the cinemas and fell in love with it. It's cute and sweet, esp. the ending. Loved all the characters. The fl's innocence and naivety is so endearing. And the other characters were presented in a charming way esp. ml. One of my all time faves.
This was cute, lighthearted and very relatable. Not everyone had relationships in highschool, but almost all had crushes. The movie showed the innocence and naivety of that age in a charming way.

You saved precious time.
