I started this just because a mv broke my heart (again, K.Will when I get you!) and this one has the highest rating among bl dating shows. I didn't know what to expect, but I ended up enjoying it its now my favorite dating show.

The triangles and misunderstandings were resolved better than many dramas I've seen.

The roommates had me kilig and giddy like no other dating show ever did.

And the friendships is the best despite them meeting as rivals in a dating show. To think they were only in the house for 8 days, not weeks or month.

A cast this good is rare, so I'm already thinking I might not like a group of participants as much as I like them.

Overall, I loved this. I hope roommates love for each other and the friendship of all 8 lasts for a long time~

Yes while I did expect the drama to give more screentime to ml because of the senior actor, I was not expecting them to water down fl. I was being generous with "love interest" but at some point she was just a damsel in distress when the whole point of BaiFengHeiXi (even that they changed to HeiFengBaiXi) is them being equal. And yes ZLS did wonderful, but they definitely did not give her enough with only that rushed story of Feng Xiyun at the last 5 eps.

Like you, I still enjoyed it and rated it reasonably. But for someone who read the novel, it wasn't the best adaptation esp with the supposedly strong fl.

I was thinking of Bai Fengxi from WRTW, but then I remembered they watered her down in the drama. She was much more stronger, smarter, badass and carefree in the novel.

So Niao Niao was a better choice. Her journey and growth in female centered LLTG is better compared to Bai Fengxi starting as strong fl to becoming just a love interest in male centered WRTW.

Recently started this because I'm in the mood for bls after K.Will (when I get you!) and me liking the layout of the house is a good start.

Also, Junseong's crush for his roommate Seongho is really cute.

Since there's no clear explanation, the closest thing I can think of is that fl already passed away. I've seen similar stories presented like this.

I guess thats why I'm fine with the SE (or OE depending on how one sees it). It just seems like its time for her to move on.

Turns out he "changed" because he didn't have a choice when fl "lost" her memories.

Then it felt like he was forgiven easily because he was pitiful near the end.

Overall, typical mini. Ending was okay. The leads' visuals were good to the eyes.

I initially dropped this because its one of those short dramas with a very awful ml. But picked this up again after reading he will change. So I was looking forward to how he will make it up to fl..

Sibling bond is my weakness (biological or not) but I prefer historical and costume dramas because the relationship usually go through a lot, good times, bad times, really bad times, that either makes or breaks the bond.

Favorite sisters are twins Qingkui and Yetan from The Starry Love.

Favorite brothers are Weiying and Jiang Cheng from The Untamed.

And favorite bro-sis are Zhaoyan and Maiming from Sword and Fairy 6.

I wondered the same, I thought she'd be happy with the news.

It was 2fl that said fl is not weak, not ml. And I don't think 2fl is scheming when she informed fl. She had her redemption arc and is now home. So I don't think she's as miserable and awful as when she was still at the palace.

While the flower could mean that there's big hope for rebuilding fl's clan in their own land.

I also don't see S2 in the leads profiles. So I guess we just have to accept that ending.

The HE was good, her staying when she didn't know yet that there were survivors. But after knowing, she won't be fully happy just staying in the palace while thinking of her people.

The drama could've still wrap it with both her rebuilding her clan and still HE with ml. If they were able to have a relationship in the past, I don't see why not now when they hold the highest positions in their respective clans.

Yes I also saw the "S1" thing, but I didn't follow this drama when filming. So I don't know if they have already filmed S2 or even have plans for S2. I only chose this amongst the other minis airing because I'm familiar with fl from Circle of Love.

I don't even consider it open, its cliffhanger incomplete.

I'd prefer for her to go back and rebuild her clan. If she choose to just stay even after knowing there are survivors, then her initial intention and her brother's death would be for nothing.

Also, 2ml was likable at first, but he was annoying when he didn't unseal fl memories after she begged him for it.

I understand in the past he sealed it to keep her away from the conflict and pain. But when she was already in the middle of the conflict, he was more cruel in my eyes when he denied her of her own memories.

This was an okay mini to watch in between waiting for my other ongoing full dramas. The ml had reasons for the way she treated fl at the beginning. He wasn't too cruel, at least compared to other minis mls that are straight up unredeemable.

But what was that ending..?

It was cute and sweet. Just what I needed after watching a tragic bl mv (K.Will when I get you!).
