Haven't read the manhwa, so I understand if the fans of the manhwa are mad because of the changes. But I quite like this adaptation. I like the way this drama highlight the struggle when we have to navigate our own emotions as a teenager. Heesu is mature for his age, and he has a lot of insight. Not sure if this is what the writer and director intended, but it seems like they're not going to the direction that BL drama typically go. Maybe from the start they want to explore the youth aspect more than the romance itself. I don't know though. But that's my impression and if that's the case, it is so well done. Also, is it just me who doesn't feel any romantic connection between Chan young and Ji Yu? I feel like Chan young doesn't like her romantically. But he's interested because Ji Yu reminds him of his own dream? I mean, isn't Jiyu already has a girlfriend? The girl who confessed to her said that, right? Jiyu rejected her because she has a girlfriend already?

this adaptation is so good! i love the depth they added to Akin and Jin, makes them relatable and feel like real human beings. They're not just some yaoi characters created merely for our fantasy! And, I love the scene in the changing room. Akin is so pretty and cute, and when he winks, I can't help but let out a squeal. Aaarrrggghhh the whole sequence with Love Actually reference was making me insane!

edit: I think Akin was already attracted to Jin the moment he saw him when he stepped on Jin's candy. He's just a tsundere and a guarded person, so he didn't realize that the irritation he's feeling towards Jin was actually him falling for him.

I love the music choice for the NC scene. When it gets to the piano, the intensity increases which isn't only visually aesthetic but also convincing. A passionate love making can be wild, raw, sultry. The piano in the background is like a metaphor of their desire and lust for each other as they get deeper into it. I am so impressed with the scene.

Do you mean during the scene under the rain when they were shooting the series and Jin block the pole from hitting Akin? I guess it was his intrusive thought or impulse because it was the moment when he realise that his feeling to Akin isn't only admiration. Nope, they don't have prior relationship. Jin is just falling for Akin.

The visual style draws me in. The acting keeps me engaged. But what makes me stay is how the writing and directing add depth to the story and characters. I've tried to watch the anime several times, but for whatever reason I couldn't finish it. But this Thai adaptation has more layered that makes the story seems important, that makes me want to root for the characters. I especially love Akin. I feel like I'm looking at him through Jin's eyes. I want to follow his story, support and protect him.

I'm happy to find Top Form and I'm looking forward to the next episodes!

Well, I haven't read the manga myself. But I've watched the anime (though didn't finish it because I didn't like it).

I guess it's because yaoi is made to cater female fantasy? Therefore the dynamic is still pretty much like that of a hetero relationship? Because it's made for female, then there must be one who take the man role and one as the woman. But, just because one is more submissive, doesn't mean their sexual relationship isn't equal, no? I mean in real life, there are actual submissive and dominant relationships. In real life, there will be people who are more aggressive when courting. It's just that the notion is, men are more aggressive while women are more passive. It's not true because I know women who are proactive and assertive when it comes to dating. But, BL seems to follow that notion.

Hi! I agree with you about the height cliche in BL. However, I would argue that Boom's interpretation to Akin's character (Takato in manga/anime) is somewhat different. To me, Akin gives off a strong and charismatic individual. If you really pay attention to Akin's character, you can see that he's not a shorter seemingly weaker bottom like you describe. He is a mentally strong and mature person who has his cute side when he's around Jin which is normal because they are lovers. In the trailer when he has a confrontation with Jade , you can tell from his eyes that he is not weak. I believe he's never written as this typical bottom who needs protection from his top (at least that's how the actor translate Akin's character). On the contrary, I think Akin will try to protect Jin instead. Yes, Jin who is taller might look dominating when it comes to courtship or sex. But, it doesn't make Akin any weaker or less masculine than Jin. Maybe Akin is just more reserved when it comes to love. But even if Akin is reserved or submissive in bed, in their interaction, he doesn't seem to be passive or 'feminine' like the typical 'bottom' in BL.

yes yes. the two 'Boss' are highly stylistic . I'm glad we started to get something different from the Thai BL industry. Hope we'll get more of this.

My gosh! the first 2 episodes are top forming! I didn't have a high expectation from watching the trailer and i didn't plan to watch it initially. But I saw the short clip from WeTV and I thought i love the look of it. Now that I've checked it, I am hooked. I love how this drama is directed and edited. The cinematography is cool too. This drama seems like a high quality production and different compares to typical Thai BLs. I hope they keep this quality till the end.

Oh, don't forget the acting. Both actors are great and I'm especially impressed by Smart's performance. The way he's head over heels for Akin gives me butterfly in the stomach. Boom's portrayal as tsundere is somewhat refreshing as well. Will watch the anime while waiting for the next episode.
