How about instead of time loop, we get a break in timeline story? The moment HEG entered La Vida shop, a new branch in timeline was created. When he'll go back to 2023, instead of going back to his deaf dad, he goes back to another timeline where his father was never deaf. In the original timeline, HEG never stepped into La Vida shop and he still continues to secretly play guitar.
Honestly, if they pull an amnesia trope, I'll feel this will seriously downgrade entire build up of the story. It's like Harry Potter waking up one day and realising every thing he saw in Hogwarts was just a dream and he never went to the magical school.
I feel like Cheongah's fam has to do with Yichan's accident causing cheongah to finally cut them off in her life?
I do not think so. Remember, Yi Chan met Cheong Ah at a sign language academy which means Yi Chan was already deaf by the time he met her. For the current timeline, I think a different course of actions will lead to Yi Chan's deafness.
I absolutely love the dialogue writers of this show.
HEG: "I forgot... just like mom and dad, I was also 18 years old in 1995." HIC: "I wish I become your father in my next life." YCA: "If you touch me once again, I will make sure to have your photo in newspapers tomorrow."
*Episode 14* HEG to HIC: "You'll become a very great father who will be respected by his wife and children." HIC to HEG: "How much do you need? You want to borrow money, right?"
I am wondering why did Cheong Ah's mom left. Was this explained in the show? Maybe I missed it. The step-mom was not originally planned to become so, she was a tutor at first. Was it an affair between the father and step-mom that Cheong Ah's mom was forced to leave?
Jindo is a native Korean dog breed know to be a loyal guard dog , beside being aggressive towards other dogs.…
Thanks for the information. So is it not a slang term? Ma Ju also said "Jindo Dog is here" when Yi Chan was working in ice cream shop and his grandma suddenly arrived in episode 1.
I have been wonderig... SK got rid of Korean age counting system recently. So the worlds Eun Yu and Eun Gyeol came from, they were 18. But Yi Chan and his gang also say they are 18, while according to that time, they should be 19-20.
Btw, what is Jindo Dog? It is a term Cheong Ah used in 2023. She said "we have a Jindo Dog" to Eun Gyeol. And the "Jindo Dog" was Yi Chan getting drunk while boasting to vendor's association. Another Jindo Dog used in the drama is the name of the gang Hyun Yul was part of. It looks like a slang term, but what does it mean exactly?
It took me 3 episodes to actually get into the series. And I fast forwarded most of all eps.
To be fair, for 2020, this series was good enough. It's not the best, but good. The monsters are funny. They are not scary. I noticed it was very popular at the time of release, maybe because it introduced the apocalypse genre in K industry. We have had several shows with apocalypse as its base since then. Comparing this show to them, Sweet Home is nothing.
For me, it was boring for most part. But I completed it anyway.
Instead of Ha Eun Gyeol, we would get Ha Eun Byeol.
Everyone thinks differently.
There are so many other ways to end this story, but no, not amnesia.

Is this a missed detail in the show?

Anyway, for the first time ever, I am seeing an apocalypse show where every monster is different. This is something unique.
