Not as good as rated here. It's too predictable for a Mystery & Thriller.

Are you sure it wasn’t the Viki Pass Subscription? Rentals and subscriptions are different.
At Viki, generally episode 3 onwards requires a Pass on new or popular shows.

He didn't need to run at all. The autopsy would show the approximate time of his mother's death, and since he was out, he'll definitely have an alibi or be caught on some CCTV camera.

He's just running away for no reason. The show makes him look smart, but this is such a basic thing to think of.

Such a huge plot hole in the first episode:
