I dont mind either an adaptation nor a based on, but this was more like "lets offend both the audience and the author in one go"-level.
It is not even a teaser so that it will bring the audience to either the novel or the webtoon. Again, considering how many other dramas and movies out there, with plenty of fx and much lower budget still have managed to bring forth quality, it pissed at least me off, for the utterly disgrace of production and the insult to the cast and authors.

Yes, it has some entertaining value if you know nothing about ORV. Then it is even a little fun.

This was similar to the anime The beginning at the end. Sometimes, a wonderful story should simply remain as a story and not to be trashed as it also did here.
Perhaps it would had been better as a Kdrama, I mean, plenty of productions with heavy FX has succeeded so they should had plenty of sponsorship. Instead they opted for a movie. A movie that put all the zombies from Train of Busan to turn in their graves, then turn into ashes from the agony.
But was it really that bad? If you have NOT read ORV (novel or manhwa), sure, it has some worth I guess, but if you did read, you'd get headache. Its not an adaptation, its more a storytelling based on ORV with similarities to it and then halfhearted put together. I feel so sorry for the author and the cast. I imagine it was still a fun project to do but well, I do think it will leave a sad stain in the actors record.. but thats me.

Yup. This is backside of adapting strong and solid stories from other medias, everyone;from actors to directors, wiöl require absolute perfection in performance or it might even go so far it will end their careers. So yeah, Im pretty sure they will feel the pressure. Just look at The beginning after the end-situation. Another rather solid story that hit rock bottom due to poor choices in the making. They will have to invest crazy amounts pf money in fx too. If they slaughter ANY of his shadow.. Oh heavens.. *Im already harvesting the corn for the popcorn fest*. I have under lower expectations, sp I hope to be wrong 😅😁

I feel like I am the only skeptical in te gang. It's an amazing story, the webtoon graphics were epic and then the anime creators did Ace it. It's not just about expectations but also about the level of commitment and ofc budget. There will be tons of stunts and other SFX's. A ML actor who has barely any drama under his belt covering heavy physical roles.. Even if Korean drama producers are good at covering up, this is on another level. Let me be the skeptical nerdy uncle ok? 😊😎 You lot can hype up, it's a balance 😘

It was cute and all buuuuut... the kissing was 1/10. So much tension totally washed out.

I have no idea how you came up with such angry conclusion about the trans-character at all. I didnt even mentioned that character at all, to not engage in such dumb debate you are trying to achieve.

But I can indulge your off track anger by saying; the reasons why they chose that actor has already been discussed. I had personally not an issue with it at all. On the contrary, I welcomed it, they did a good job in showcasing it and also normalizing it and not made it into a freakshow like it sometimes is showcased in dramas.
I loved that they put it in as in "this is just a regular citizen with issues like anyone else".

My issue was more on technical part of them having stupid prolonged fighting scenes, like in the ep7 that didnt actually provided with anything in particular.
There was ONE, ONE scene I did welcome and that was the character getting PTSD attack. It was beautifully showcased.

The entire season felt scattered with loose ends and yet without the cliffhanger to weight up those loose ends. S2 didnt provide to the story, it wasnt even filler, it felt more like a huge load of b-rolls. I miss the red thread, a continuation and not piggybacking on s1

This is the main reason I disliked this season. If s3 would come sooner, then fine, but 2-3 in between, basically demands a really solid season to weight in the wait. This didnt ecen offered a good cliffhanger like s1
