At first this series didn't catch my attention at all, but I'm glad I decided to check it out.. after episode 3, I can really say I'm enjoying it! the characters are very charming , I like the story, and despite some understandable technical difficulties, it's still a lot of fun to watch. The inclusion of trans and/or crossdressing (I'm not completely sure what labels Brenda, Madam Tusha and Jelay use) people in the story and the fact that Drei Arias (Jimmy) is openly gay, makes me want to support it even more! there's a lot of episodes left so hopefully it gets better and people start catching up. Go Amore!!! :)

you'd really know where he is coming from. he's so vulnerable when talking to his dad (typical rich asian mindset)..…
exactly! I like to see this side of him, I think his acting was showcased better in the emotional scenes.. I hope for some of his backstory as well and I can't wait for when he finally starts spending more time with Sky, that's gonna be so funny haha :)

It's so sad how Ace doesn't have much love from family or friends (except from Kim and Ms. Becky maybe?) his only love is Chukchuk (for now lol wink wink Sky) that's why he was so hurt in this EP :(

People are being really picky with Aki indeed. His acting wasn't above or bellow any other begginer here, but…
how is men wearing croptops offensive to trans people? trans people were never the topic.. trans women are not men, can men not wear croptops? what is that about? Of course his response was "insensitive" because he's constantly being harshly judged since the very start, If I was in his place I would probably defend myself as well. We as LGBT community advocate for love and understanding yet we treat people the same way we don't want to be treated. It's so frustrating.

I was really expecting EP1 and now that I watched it I really have to say something or my head will explode. It was just ok. I feel it's gonna improve in the next episodes. I think it was just intended to be light-hearted for the most part and with a little touch of drama, reminds me of Why R U and YYY a bit and I really like that. I also love that the opening scene directly addresses equality.. how many times have Thai BLs done that? also the Filipino culture? as a foreigner I think It's cool to know more about it, I find it very interesting and exciting. ok.. Now I'm gonna give my opinion about the controversies/issues:

1) Clichés: yes, there's a lot of them.. but I think it's part of it's own charm and what sets it apart from the others. Actually reminds me of the classic Mexican telenovelas about "rich guy falls for poor girl" I watched as a kid and how I wished there was one with a gay couple as leads. Kinda makes me nostalgic. That Disney magic vibe is great, I love it. The music is a bit loud in some scenes though.. but I love the main OST (the director himself sings and It's super catchy) the ending one needs to grow on me.

2) Fem gays: It's not a big issue for me and I don't find it disrespectful, I think It's great that they show how Miko's family accept his brother as he is and they're not trying to change him. This is the first time I see a character like that being so openly included in a family setting. I think that's a positive. Also there's a lot of people that are actually like that, being funny and loud should not be translated as "you are a joke" the LGBT community is known for our sense of humor and positive attitude towards life despite homophobia and poor treatment from others. I only wish they made Jelai a bit less pushy with the baby boy but I love his character, really brings light to every scene. I hope they can find true love also, they deserve it.

3) Girls: yes, Moira and her friend are the "mean girls" but don't we love that movie? at least a lot of gays do.. she doesn't have to be a nice character and I'm sure there's a reason behind why she acts like that, maybe issues with her family or the way she was raised thinking money, beauty and a high status are everything. It's not her fault and I'm not gonna call her "toxic" she's just the funny "villain" who hates roaches and should treat her boyfriend and his family better, I hope for her growth. The stalker lady character was a bit extra, I'll give you that, in fairness there was also toxic masculinity representation with the bully characters and Ace's father so.. we are equally bad portrayed? Also, I think Kim is fantastic... she may actually like Ace but looks like she will be a respectful, understanding, supportive character. I hope she is, she's so beautiful.

4) The whitening cream ad: I wish it wasn't there, but I understand the reason behind it. Skin whitening culture is really a thing in many asian countries, even most of our favorite Thai BL actors do it.. It shouldn't be a thing and I'm sure it feels super awkward for a lot of people, but there's nothing much we can do except opening the conversation about it. I wish they didn't choose that particular product to showcase in the first episode but that just means that people actually buy those things, if they didn't they wouldn't have the money to sponsor the series. It's awkward and I wish they talk about other products instead in the future to respect viewers from different countries. It's very unfortunate and I completely understand if it upsets you.

5) The Aki situation: seriously guys WE NEED TO CHILL.. it's getting out of hand to the point that there's a whole boycott for this series over NOTHING, yes.. NOTHING. Aki was just preparing himself to be a part of the BL world and he did his research, he wasn't wrong when he implied that the BL genre was made popular by japanese women in the way of manga/anime and spread across asia to the point we are now and that it despicts characters that mostly self identify as straight, which is true (fortunately we are trying to change that and include gay men and the LGBT community in the stories, roles, characters, production teams etc). Of course his wording wasn't right and he made the mistake of assuming his comment was not gonna upset us, he didn't think it through and it had zero hate behind it, he's friend with his gay castmates and works with gay people everyday, he's not homophobic. He then apologized multiple times, he even cried in an interview and you can see in his eyes how much the bullying of people affected him to the point that he interacts less now and has to analyze every single thing he does. Also the croptop thing? what is that even about? Aki has a lot of pictures with croptops and he was just joking he wanted Miko to wear them as well and that they should go buy them together.. breaking gender norms? how is that problematic? I'm completely lost there. Cancel culture disgusts me, no one wants to do an effort to understand each other anymore and that's what's really "toxic" here.

It's getting really long so I'll stop here.. in conclusion, I'm gonna watch EP2 and probably all episodes, It really can't be that "bad" I wish people have a more open mind and give this a try, the team worked really hard to put this series together in the middle of the pandemic and they deserve a chance. There's always room for improvement but I'm enjoying it so far.

Hmm...Guys I think you are being a bit too harsh with your comments. BLs aren't Hollywood Blockbusters and yet…
Thank you for this! :)
