K-Drama
I am in tears writing this review after having just finished watching the drama.
To be honest, this didn't have the most promising start for me - I was unimpressed after two episodes as I felt it was overacted and the traumatic plot point was incredibly jarring and unrealistic (I know, I know). However, I'm glad to say that my opinion quickly changed as the episodes progressed - this was one of the most interesting shows I have ever watched, period.
I always mention how the mark of a good drama is by how much we care about the side characters and this drama truly had that in spades. There were so many characters and yet they made me care about every single one of them. I was invested in their stories, in their sorrows, in the different ways they navigated the world based on their upbringing and social standing.
Both FL and ML did an incredible job, and not once did I feel bored watching 47 episodes of this show.
