I think considering the complaints that are still pouring over this type of issues that it’s not going to change fast.
I wouldn’t mind a little bit more realistic kissing. But I got use to it. Et with Chinese and Korean shows, kissing is kinda a bonus ?

Yeah I knew this one was going to come up. It’s also Netflix so they dare more. But overall Korean shows aren’t evolving on that front that much.

It’s a family drama. It’s the weekend drama for the next six months. There will be hardly any kissing scenes.
Using risque about a Korean show is kinda weird to begin with. I’d understand if it were Japanese but Korean ? Lol.

Because it is a weekend drama. The Saturday/ Sunday drama from kbs2 is always about 50 episodes. It’s a well known time slot for this type of shows.

I quite like the tone of the show and the actors are really good. It’s less forced than the acting in three siblings. I hope it doesn’t disappoint like three sibling did for me.

The ratio modern / historical is like 10/90 for Korean shows. Not that bad. Of course Chinese dramas have a different ratio but they are also very different to kdramas

I’m not sure how you can assert it’s rare. In Chinese dramas this is a typical plot. I see it way more than two guys chasing after the same female lead. However you are right I don’t think a second lead syndrome exists in the case of two women fighting over a guy. That’s the main difference between the two sub plots.
