When I watch this, I tend to always end up rewatching love like the galaxy as one of my favorite character of Lllg is the emperor (same actor, kinda same vibe). Right now, flourished peony is the closest to the vibe of dream of splendor. Even more so than new life begins.
A dream of splendor has also the same vibe with women empowerment. similar themes. Great cast.
the double is my top 1 and I have seen a lot of period cdramas. I know some people didn’t like it as much but if you had been watching while it aired, you could understand the rave. it was so good that I bought a subscription to youkou instead of waiting for Viki.

It always reminds me of the double where the main lead had always someone keeping an eye on her. Here he doesn’t do it at all even though he’d know how despicable people can be. Everyone could have seen the murder attempts for instance and give a hand. Or maybe he wasn’t that invested in her wellbeing yet. But not to have someone keep an eye on her while he’s left the capital is beyond my understanding
... They upload more episodes than K-Dramas though...and K-Dramas sometimes have weird scheduling as well...
Not really. It’s mostly two episodes per week for kdramas with some exceptions but that’s just pretty rare
The advantage of c dramas scheduling is that a show is done in less than a month but the way they air them varies a lot depending on what network or streamer it is.
