may i ask where this was announced? genuine question

i know people want the next episodes ASAP and yes it has been more than a week but it likely takes time to fix issues like this. they are probably trying to ensure that there are absolutely no faults in their next method of trying to get the eps out so theres no repeat situations which is why it's taking more time.

hopefully productions will learn from this and try to go down the meet you at the blossom route/method of airing instead.

they did finish filming/editing/producing. the problem that came up was the streaming service they used (IQIYI) took it down due to censorship. the production thought they would be able to air all the episodes :(

i don't get the point of episode 14. this isnt hate to yj or hm to be clear but that just didnt need to be filmed lmao... and i'm also confused how it came about to be filmed like i doubt either of them contacted the producers asking for that to be filmed so how did it end up being filmed

if they wanted to update us n the couples they couldve done a little montage with a 'hanmin and youngjoon tried after the show but it didnt work out - they remain good friends!' or smth like that not this :/

i agree with the sm thing. people on certain socials were calling him an emotional terrorist etc and it's just ridiculous lol. they really don't have long in that house and you can tell he was trying his best.

i dont think the term is babying term though, i dont think theyre being babyed its more people lacking critical thinking skills. neither js or sm owed like hwi/sj their affection i agree but idt ppl not realise that is overbabying just them being stuck in what they want to happen.

the show was edited before the s1 contestant said what he said i would think. like i dont think it's filmed as recently as when he made that comment maybe a few months after the show was filmed which was 2023

so they probably filmed it then edited it out

tbh my issue isn't with the difference isn't 'conservative' (ness?) because honestly japan and sk are both conservative countries socially and politically, they just have different ways of expressing it. like i honestly couldn't care less if they're kissing and/or in underwear.

it's the way the boyfriend as a whole is much calmer and in a sense a more gentle (?) watch. it's not that theres no drama because there is but it's just slightly enjoyable to me at least. the coffee truck thing is so cute, theres no extremely high tension in the house between people, and the cinematography is so gorgeous. the cast are all very mature and likeable. i enjoy the whole people getting to pick whoever they want whenever they want rather than only getting to pick based on an action in the past or a previous decision, it makes things much more natural.

that being said though i DON'T blame his man for being lesser in those aspects and agree it isn't entirely fair to compare the series especially budget wise because the boyfriend is a netflix show whilst HM is just on a korean network. plus the fact they only get a week adds to the raised tensions and things being more all over the place, they simply don't have the time to get as comfortable as they are in TB.

they're both enjoyable in their own ways and very very different.

the queer host at least in the boyfriend is actually there for the reason of wanting to 'translate' certain situations since he's also queer so it can explain it to straight, japanese audiences which makes sense imo
