exactly, they changed the genre, plot, and pacing all in the last 2 eps. so many time skips too, very poor writing
I haven't read the webtoon. I'm evaluating it as a drama, not an adaptation. I don't have a problem with the supernatural/dark elements, rather the focus on certain plot elements and the shift in the story. I feel like not enough time was given to plot points introduced in the last 2 eps and its very rushed. 2 time skips on 1 ep to me just looks like rushed and poor writing, avoiding responsibility for the added storyline. i really liked the beginning of the drama and if they had kept it at 16 eps i think it wouldve been fine. just my opinion, ofc everyone has different standards and preferences for writing/media
han beom woo character development sucks. very poorly written. I understand nonlinear character development (heck I love it) but I feel like writers are doing linear and no character development simultaneously. han beom woo has all of the empathy and rage in the world for yeon joo but cannot for the life of him use a single thought to realize he's hurting others or making stupid decisions (I'm supposed to believe this is an intelligent business man lol). yeon joo is no better. I've never seen such a flat character. romantically shy, sure, but yeon joo has absolutely no reaction or romantic chemistry whatsoever. maybe I'm reading between the lines enough. tldr: beom woo cannot think and yeon joo has no romance. pls lmk if I missed a cue
idk if anyone else got it but the tailor talking about a chicken restaurant that went under references the actor's movie Extreme Job, which I 137491910838329/10 recommended it is hilarious!!!
I'm seeing a lot of ppl mad at the mom. Idk if it's because I'm asian and it's a cultural difference... the things…
but good intention only means so much if the action and outcome are harmful. i'm also asian and while i agree asian parents can be more strict and tough love, i don't think it explains youngsoons behavior. she is acting more out emotion instead of rationally, probably because of all of her past trauma. kangho might forgive her because she is his mom, but that doesn't mean it is okay for her to continue making bad decisions for him
does no one else find it concerning she's trying to marry off her son and make him have kids at the mental age of 7?? I am a slightly disturbed to say the least
everybody's morals are diff: some characters don't have morals, others are wearing rose tinted glasses. I find that the variation makes it interesting and more practical. not everyone views ethics the same way so some characters may seem stupid or frustrating but their experiences/background have shaped their mentality. (just finished ep 8)
are the action scenes good?
is the plot twisty-turny-interesting or semi predictable?
