The story and the character's storyline were well established. It's really about personal preference. If you want a straight-to-the-point story, I will stick with the new version. Suppose you want a story that he slowly gets his revenge, then this one for you. This version had more "chaos."

I liked the beginning; it was an interesting plot, but the FL started becoming annoying towards the middle, and it became draggy and boring. Many misunderstandings in the drama were unnecessary and just dumb. Overall I'll give it a 7/10.

I mostly agree with you, except for the "Stop Asian hate" comment you made here in America is a huge issue today because many Asian-Americans are experiencing hate and racism. Blackface is a huge issue that EVERYONE needs to educate themselves on, especially when it comes to TV shows like this, many young kids can influence by thinking this okay, and we shouldn't normalize it. This is just horrifying to me and disgusting. This is colorism.
