Okay, so Jo Jo lives with her aunt and cousin, they don't have a good relationship she lies to her friends about studying in an academy when in reality she is working to pay a debt and her grandma's hospital bills. She has tragic childhood, both of her parents committed suicide, and she survived by leaving through a window. She has a boyfriend and a few close friends.
Sun-Oh is a model and the son of a (former?) actress. His mother doesn't really show love to him and uses him for publicity. He comes back from abroad and decides to study in the same school as his best friend, Hye Young. Hye Young has a crush on Jo-Jo, but he decides not to pursue her because he respects the relationship.
From the start, Jo-Jo and Sun-oh had an instant-connection; they stared at each other for long periods of time, your typical Kdrama stuff. One day Sun-oh followed Jo-Jo, and long story short, they kissed. Don't want to get into too much unnecessary detail, but her friends and boyfriend find out that she has been lying all this time and that she cheated on her boyfriend, so they stopped talking to her.
Sun-oh knows that Hye young likes her, but he starts dating Jo Jo because they agree that whoever Jo-jo decides the other person needs to respect that.
They go on a field trip to the island where Jo Jo's parents committed suicide, and she remembers all the horrible memories from her childhood which leads to her and sun-oh getting into a motorcycle accident. They both are taken to the hospital, but Jo Jo can't reach Sun-oh, and she worried about him, then one of her classmates (the developed of the app) gives her a shield that can "protected her heart" by not ringing anyone's love alarm.
Jo Jo breaks up with Sun-oh, and sun oh is left heartbroken after they graduate 5 years pass, and they meet again when Hye Young starts pursuing Jo-Jo and confesses that he still likes her. Sun-oh confronts Jo Jo, saying that she needs to leave his friend alone because he doesn't want him to get hurt by her like what she did to him by doing this; we find out that sun-oh still has a feeling for her although he has a girlfriend. In the end, Jo-jo is determined to take off the shield.

OMG YES. I like theory, it kind of makes sense. He thinks he loves Jo Jo, but he doesn't ring her "love alarm"...he is probably unsure of what he feels and probably thinks that "love alarm" is making everyone leave- like jo jo.
