WL n ZJM also said they were stressed when they couldn’t shoot the ball in when there was a live audience but it could go in during their practice sessions .

Wu Lei’s upcoming movie “Dwelling by the West Lake” won another award at the 17th Asian Film Award -his colead Jiang Qinqin won best actress award. This movie had already won best director award at the Tokyo International Film Festival. I hope Netflix will buy such an award winning movie. If not then many of us will never get to watch it 😔

This is quite common in cdramaland. Leads will always have haters or black fans. It’s a sign that the drama and leads are getting a lot attention . Fighting back draws more attention and scares away potential watchers. Imo if nobody pays attention to them they will fade away after some time.

They will talk more and laugh more together although it’s hard to believe it now. Yeah they got together quite early but will still have to overcome some challenges in their relationship and they will show quite a bit of the ml’s development. IMO it gets from being uncomfortable to too comfortable 😂

Just hang in there for awhile. The leads meet in episode 6 and you will see them together more often from ep 7. The family airtime will get less as the focus shifts to palace live and the lead’s interaction. But it happens gradually…

It’s called “Papa” and Wu Lei had a cameo role in it as a real estate agent. His role was just 5 minutes only but pretty impactful. Don’t think it’s available overseas tho, there r no English subs.

Been rewatching on Netflix. Caught a few subtleties I missed first time round. I saw LYY munching a bar of chocolates in episode 11. Just a thought. I wonder how many bars of chocolate did he have to eat for this drama? I remembered in a previous movie he had to gobble down 5-6 bowls of noodles just to film an one minute scene of him eating noodles. And did he really, really eat YG’s leftover cereals?

Ye, he retired at 16. There is a milestone at 13 but I’m not sure what. Maybe that was when he started entering competitions

I fast forwarded the slow parts so after that the pace was just right for me lol

The ML will open up more and more along the way. He will even confide in the FL later on and they will be more chatty too.

Other than movies he just completed filming Northwest Years. The theme is patriotic and filming was very low key and shrouded in secrecy. I’m not sure if we can ever get to watch this drama since it is filmed by state affiliated production company under CCTV, China’s national TV network so not sure if they will release it overseas. I may not want to watch either, even if I’m a big fan of Leo Wu, if it’s propaganda type.

If you liked this and Hidden Love then you could try watching Love Like the Galaxy if you haven’t done so. The genre is different, it’s a period drama but the leads are Leo Wu and Zhao Lusi and their chemistry is amazing

They followed the script in the novel and said he was taking her to an island. But actually they filmed it in Annecy which is not an island right? Although the surrounding looks like an island.

The leads only meet up in episode 6 if I remember correctly but after that you will get to see them together more often. Overall it’s a slow burn but once the leads meet you will see their electrifying chemistry even before they got together
