I have some “Hidden Love” connections concerns that I am posting as a spoiler in the comments below.
It’s been awhile since I watched Hidden Love. Still I don’t recall YiFan in it or mentioned. Please correct me if I am wrong. My concern is over the timing. At the end of “Hidden Love” the main couple gets engaged after the FL (Sang Yan’s sister) graduates from University. In “First Frost” Sang Yan’s sister hasn’t even started attending college yet. Considering this, am I correct in assuming that we have at least another 4 to 5 years before our “First Frost” main couple gets together? If so, that is such a bummer!!! Can we expect another breakup time skip for the main couple before they get their happy ending? I hate that for them. It’s taken them so long to get together. I can stand the thought of them breaking up again. I know technically they really weren’t a couple in High School but they loved each other so I’m going to still call it a “breakup.”
it's airing rn. only 16 episodes have been released so far.
Oh wow. I missed that. I just saw 16 episodes and I was thinking it was like a K drama and only had 16. 😂. I did think C drama typically has more episodes but I was just thinking it must be a short drama. Thanks for the clarification. Bummer! I have to wait.
I’m loving this drama! I’m watching on Netflix and just realized they only have 16 episodes. Oh no! What to do now? Does anyone else know where is streaming all 32? I don’t have Youku.
Okay, I am a little late to the game with this one. I waited for all episodes to drop before I started. I’m on episode six right now. Hmmm… what to say about it? So far it’s been a wild ride. Yes, it’s a bit of a train wreck but I’m entertained. Poor Eve, her character is so unlikable. Seriously she’s horrible. I’m loving Ryond but Lee Min Ho is a favorite of mine so I’m biased. Really all the actors are great. Doing the best with what they have been given. I’m curious to see what I think about it at the end. I’m seeing that the ending is bad. I had bad endings but so far I’m hooked.
I keep finding myself rewatching this BL. It’s so good. It’s the subtle details that I love. I find something new from each watch, and I get a better understanding of the characters and their complicated relationship. It’s my favorite BL. It wasn’t at first but it is now. I normally don’t like dramas where lack of clear communication is used as a plot device to cause conflict in the main couples relationship. That is so frustrating!!! This drama is different by using lack of communication in a fun and interesting way. In this drama their lack of communication is driving the entire plot. Both ML don’t know how to communicate their love for each other so they don’t know how deeply the other cares, This causes insecurities in both the ML. One of the ML is fearful of losing the other, while the other ML has feelings of being unappreciated and used. It’s the subtle way they express their love for each other (not through verbal communication but their actions) that at first cause confusion and then clarity. Seeing them arrive at some clarity is the best part of the series… “This guy must really like me.”
This one is not for me. It was to hard to follow what was present day vrs the past. I really didn’t feel the leads having good chemistry. It was gloomy and left me with many unanswered questions. I watch it on IQIYI and the subtitles were bad. Because other comments said GaGa’s subtitles were bad too, I’m not so sure if a good version with English subtitles exists.
I’m watching this now for the second time. It’s really enjoyable. My plan was to skip through the boring parts but there really hasn’t been much to skip.
this really feel like reply 1988.. if you dont like that drama neither this one
I watched all of Reply 1988 but I almost dropped it over and over. Yes, it has the same feel as Hospital Playlist. I know why they are Classics. I see their quality but they just couldn’t hold my attention.
This drama is so good. I usually stay away from medical dramas because I find them boring. I also tend to stay away from dramas without romance because I love the romantic dramas best. So to me this drama didn’t have anything for me to like but I still loved it. I was hooked from the first 5 minutes. It was fun and chaotic in the best way. I loved all the actors and, of course, Ju Ji Hoon is super cool in it. I’m happy I took a chance on it.
I’m writing this with two episodes to watch. I like this drama. All the actors are great. The main couple has good chemistry but I’m not sure they should get a happy ending. I say this as someone that typically only wants to watch dramas with happy endings so I’m confused at myself for feeling this way. It’s just their relationship felt so tedious with the pushing away and pulling back. Their different views on marriage is not something that one person should have to compromise on. It’s sad because I like them together. I love that they are flirting all the time with each other. Ugh. I’m conflicted on how this should end. The other two couples I’m more invested in them staying together.
This is my guilty pleasure drama. I love it so much. Even with all its flaws and campy tropes, I still love it. The main couple is so cute. Sung Hoon is so gorgeous in it but whoever did his makeup should be fired. I loved his wardrobe. He really looked great in those suits. They could have done way better on her wardrobe. The mom is so horrible. Her daughter needed to completely cut ties with her. Yes, the work harassment wouldn’t work in the real world but I love how hard he was trying to get her attention.
Is the ending disappoining, I heard many opinions that last episodes weren't good, ending was not worth and all.…
The ending is both good and bad. It’s like they had some time to kill so they took things in a weird direction, which was kind of a train wreck. Truly it’s bizarre how bad the writing is in the first half episode 12. Fortunately it gets back on the right track and gives us the ending we want. I’m a fan of this series. I liked it a lot but episode 12 was like it was written by different writers. If I rewatch it I’ll skip over the weird storyline introduced in episode 12.
