Yay! Back to the comments section for episode 3 & 4! Let’s see what’s in store for my favorite Tide of Love couple this week. I predict more awkward face gnawing kisses and uniform patches that draw my attention away from the plot. “What? There is no plot? I can still hope for a plot.” Let’s get into more of my random thoughts…
- Yay! The OST playing… “DA DA DA DA” and this song is a lyrical masterpiece. Truly Hip Hop’s at its finest. Reminder to self, look this up on iTunes, searching “da, da, da,da.” - Me watching episode 3: I’m not going to focus on those patches. I’m not going to focus on those barely hanging on patches. DANG IT! - Yoo Se Hyeon taking drugs looks like a maniacal madman. I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not experienced in taking illegal substances. Do they really make your eyes go crossed like that? “Drugs are bad, Mkay.” - Seong Ho takes one look at that hot mess and thinks, “… but daddy, I can fix him.” - Seong Ho leaves 5 years ago for training in the US. Not sure that America is the best country to get high quality police force training. It’s okay. I’m from the US. I can say that. - Kwon Hyeok Jae, you big meanie. Can’t you clean the smudges from your car windows? Ugh, this drama really has my OCD going. Is it raining or not raining? Looks like it just rains on the car windows. - It’s so hard to see our Tide of Love’s Han Jae Hun so broken and pitiful. WHAT HAPPENED 5 YEARS AGO? - They keep showing the full moon. Werewolves? Are they werewolves in this? Perhaps 5 years ago… on a night when the moon was full… no, that can’t be it. - This episode ended without any face gnawing (disappointed) - Four episodes in and I already know all the words to the OST, “DA DA DA DA” (me singing along) 🎶🎵🎶🎵 - Me watching episode 4: Don’t look at the patches. Don’t look at the patches. DANG IT! - I get it. I would waver too if I had milk sharing memories to serve as a reminder of the time when love was innocent and sweet. - They are still using MS Windows 7. Time to upgrade. I bet all the drama budget money went to cigarettes and patches. (Patches, DANG IT!) - Kwon Hyeok Jae, you smug arrogant jerk. I want to rip those patches off your uniform. You don’t deserve those patches. Just thinking of how easy it would be to rip this patches off. They are barely hanging on. Mmmmm… that would be so very satisfying… DANG IT!!! Don’t think about the patches. - Is that a plant in the background, behind Kim Min Ho desk? Please tell me it’s enough to keep an on set Plant Wrangler employed. - The dancing extras in the nightclub scene are too funny. - Kim Min Ho, how dare you kick our pitiful Yoo Se Hyeon when he is down? You don’t deserve those patches. DANG IT! PATCHES! PATCHES! PATCHES! (Me, getting all my patch frustrations out). - Our poor star crossed lovers. How will their love survive? - How to make awkward face gnawing kisses more awkward? Kiss from an uncomfortable angle. - 4 episodes in a 10 episode short drama and a semblance of a plot emerges. Interesting. What more can be in store for our Tide of Love heroes? Tune in next week.
This is a beautiful quiz. Love it! I don’t watch these types of dramas so the farthest I made it was to question 7 but I was enjoying the .gif screen shots
I just finished episode one. I just have this suspicion that her family has something to do with this. To frame him and get him out of the way. Or perhaps the wife had a “Gone Girl” kidnapping, and the kidnapper is the “Neil Patrick Harris” character.
Me watching the first 10 minutes: “Ohhhh…. This is Tide of Love bad.” Realization has me running to the comments. “Yay! They are back! The best comment section ever… is back in play”
Seriously it’s been too long. I’ll just jump right in with my random thoughts… - I’m guessing that AI Slop airplane landing is setting they tone for the kinds of special effects we are going to be getting in future episodes. - just look at the cityscape reflected in those aviator sunglasses. The are going for “Best in Cinematography” here - Those clunky foot step sound that don’t actually match the actor stride is back. - I haven’t seen any plants yet (disappointed) - I just can’t bare to watch our Tide of Love hero stoop to crawling on the floor. Why is he crawling on the floor? It’s not clear. I guess we will find out later. At least that floor and boots looked clean - Those night club dancers are going hard. - All the embroidered “Police” and “Security” uniform patches are pealing off. This is going to have my OCD running wild while watching this. Oh no, the Korean flag patches are barely hanging on. This is going to make me crazy. - In South Korea, are the Police also Security? Not sure what is going on but usually it’s one or the other. - That flashback with the First-Person camera work had me laughing. “No, don’t poke my eyes with those ear pods! They don’t go there.” - Those awkward kisses…. Ugh. Still not sexy. Still looks like the one guy is just gnawing on the other mouth. No, just not sexy. - Sadly those youthful days of innocently sharing one glass of milk with two colored straws are over. He’s a bad boy night club owner now, and the other a cop. Star crossed lovers. What exactly illegal activity is going on in that nightclub? - 5 years. It’s been 5 years that they seen each other. FIVE whole years. That’s 5 years. 5. five. (It’s been 5 minutes since they reminded us of this) - I’m confused. Did they just kiss or did they have sex or did they have sex multiple times? This wasn’t clear. This should have been made clear. Also was he under arrest at one point? I did see the handcuffs briefly. That was a chaotic hookup. What was with that slap? - They need to be careful taking off that uniform… those patches are barely hanging on. I’m going to have nightmares about hose darn patches not fully stuck on those makeshift uniforms. Is that Velcro holding the on or are those patches stickers? - the villain just laying across his desk like that hugging a campaign poster. Sure, that seems plausible. Nice foreshadowing. - New couple. Him being forced to smack that dude with a belt was unintentionally hilarious. None of the guys are going to win a Baeksang award anytime soon. So not sexy. - that light flair coming off that desk lamp is a bit overkill - For future reference, you don’t need to take your watch off to smack someone - What was the cigarette budget on this production? Must be using that big money profits from Tide of Love to keep the cast in cigarettes. - I feel like they showed the entire drama in the closing credits. Cool, now I don’t need to watch it.
Normally I would mark this as spoiler to avoid giving the plot away but this is by the same makers of Tide of Love. There is no plot.
Three episodes in and this isn’t holding my attention at all. I’m not feeling any chemistry. It just makes me sleepy. I was hoping it would get better. Also they are slow talkers.
Thank you! I appreciate your always positive comments. 😂 I was first introduced to the nasal sticks through…
Yeah, they are kind of nice. The peppermint ones will help a bit with headaches and allergies. I can see the appeal but I think they are more a novelty.
Thank you so much! I love it!! I realized I still have so many series on my watchlist, haha. I played it again…
Thank you! I appreciate your always positive comments. 😂 I was first introduced to the nasal sticks through those awkward placements in BL. I’m like, “what the heck do they keep putting up their noses?” 😂. I had to look them up. I got me some from Amazon to try.
I love it so much!! I played this one again, and honestly, I think your “Opening Credits” quizzes are some…
Awesome! It funny that you posted this now. I have been working on one and planning to publish it soon. All I need is to populate the answers. Everything else is completed. I actually have two unpublished Opening Credits to BL dramas that I have been working on. The 2nd one needs a bit more work.
