I like the pacing of this movie, the dialogues are a bit hard to follow at the beginning but once you understand the whole movie is like this it flows easily; I loved the acting of Okada, Sakaguchi & Miyavi. Plus: many bromance moments. <3
when Satomi sing Kurenai and we see all the moments between him and Kyoji with THAT lyrics, and the last scene where we see Kyoji with the tattoo of Satomi's name... well, I believe they're in love with each other. And to the people getting angry in the comments, if you read the manga recent releases, you will know the author is going in THAT direction, so. :) I'm hoping for a sequel. <3
Love this movie. <3 a heartwarming story between a student and a yakuza bonding through karaoke. <3 After the ending credits there's an important scene, I hope everyone watched it. :)
the action scenes are great and that's it; it would have been better if we could have more backstory about Sakata & the group of masked killers, I was interested to learn more about Haruhara (the mayor)'s past, I found his action scene with the katana the most interesting and flawless.
It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either, the mystery part was bland; this would have been better without adding useless romance between the two main characters, the kisses were... meh. It felt a waste using great actors like Yoshizawa and Miyazaki for this underwhelming story. :/ but I liked the various talks during the movie about social class inequality.
Even if it's a short web drama filmed vertically, I'm so glad I watched this because it was a beautiful bromance. <3 Kudos to the actors. ๐๐ป I really hope there will be a season 2.~
watched this while it was airing and it was great, rewatched this the other day in one sitting and it's still an amazing experience, I seriously can't wait for season 2! I hope to see Nam Joo Hyuk in more action roles & with morally grey characters in the future, he fits them so well. <3
oh, ofcโhad to go through my bookmarks for this one + it's in Korean so you'll probably have to put it through…
Thank you so much, that's amazing! I read there's a spin-off movie planned for Ray's character, I honestly hope it will happen because I want to see more of his (messed up) character! <3 I want to add, I agree with everything you wrote for Vigilante, Cho Kang Ok is a chaotic bisexual, meanwhile Kim Ji Yong give me the impression of being asexual; btw I can't wait for Season 2. <3 I want to suggest you a drama to watch that fits this list, Black Out, because the tension between the two main roles is palpable. (Sorry, I yapped too much. ๐ )
Thank you for this list, it's very informative and detailed, I saved it; can I ask you about ''Deliver us from Evil'' if you have a link to an interview where the Director talked/confirmed Ray's character being queer coded as canon? Since I watched that movie I already got that impression about Ray, but I would like to know more about him, he's really a fascinating character.
I'm so pissed off after watching this movie. No ratings from me.
Lesson learned for the main character: don't try to change the past, if someone died it means things were destined to go that way. She wanted to save his Dad, but in the end his Dad got killed again and more people that could be alive got killed.
I enjoyed this movie a lot, all the info about Buddhism were interesting to learn; it wasn't that scary, so if you are not a fan of horror like me you can watch it without problems. I would love to watch another movie about Pastor Park, his character is very intriguing.
This is still one of my favorite k-dramas ever. I almost didn't watch this back then because of the negative reviews, but I'm glad I listened to myself and gave this a try, because it's amazing. <3 10/10 for me.
nice historical movie and good moral lesson about 'not seeing and mind your business' or 'see and make the difference''; surprised by many comments asking about what happened to the the main character's little brother when you can actually see him towards the end of the movie. ๐

10/10 for me.
someone posted the movie with machine translated subs, I watched it and the subs are good enough to understand the story. ๐๐ป
