10/10 a masterpiece. It's not that hard to follow, the story is told by 3 point of views, the Mother, the Teacher, the Kids; if you don't understand the story on the first watch, re-watch it, there's a lot of symbolism and you need to pay attention to every single scene and listen well to all the dialogues. I think the ending is clearly an open ending, it's up to the audience to decide how this end.
I was waiting for this since it was announced in February, I had high expectations and I'm glad I wasn't disappointed. <3 Historical, Meiji era, samurai, action and many interesting characters, what more can I ask? I loved this. <3 I'm curious to know more about Enju (Nino fits enigmatic characters) and the Ainu character, he's so charismatic. <3 Gentosai reminded me so much of the eerie character of ''That Person'' from Gannibal... :,) personally the only let down was the reveal of the organizer, I was expecting someone more mysterious. š (idk maybe it's just me...)
your criticism would be valid if you didn't sound like a hater half of the time.
''Could have been great if Khemjira had been written better'' I strongly disagree. If you compare with the majority of Thai BL, it's a miracle we finally got a series with a script so well written and well executed. I read another your comment where you said you bought the novel, well I hope you will see Namping actually nailed the role of Khemjira, the series (and Namping) gave more personality to his character, because in the book Khemjira is more weak and bland.
I don't even bother reading bad comments or bad reviews because nothing will change the fact that for me this is a masterpiece and it was due time we bl fans got a series so beautiful, well made and crafted with great care. <3
1000/10 excellent. for me, this series has set a standard so high I think no other Thai bl will get close to this. Thanks to all the amazing cast and team for this masterpiece, never a dull or boring moment. Khemjira, you will forever have a place in my heart. <3
8/10 this wasn't bad but it wasn't that great, the fight scenes were better in the 1st season, honestly I couldn't feel much chemistry between Sieun and the new friend group (nothing will beat the bond between Suho and Sieun <3), and the production tried to squeeze too many events in only 8 episodes, so if you read the webtoon you might not like this season much. I liked the acting performance by Bae Nara, Jun, and of course Park Jihoon. <3
Dunno if this will make it easier, but he's stopped drinking ever since. If not, well., no harm in skipping this…
Thanks for your reply. ^^ I'll wait for this to end and then I'll start to watch it, I'll focus on the story and the characters without thinking about the actor. Thank you so much for the subtitles. šš»
