So it appears that his one year contract with SkinCeuticals is up, and according to the brand's usual SOP, they hid all the posts about him, just like how they hid all previous celebrity endorsers' posts.
Immediately, antis started rumors saying he offended them, he is the only celeb they did this to etc And so, SkinCeuticals unhid 3 meaningful posts during their collaboration HAHA I quote this post from Twitter because she wrote it so well and I can't describe the situation any better:

I just wonder why people like to turn a blind eye to Xiaoyao, who was the one who actually worked hard to win back her one true love in the end? She finally didn't sit around and wait, but took action. Jing didn't fall back into her lap, she fought for him this time, which was that Tong Hua wanted her 'strong female lead' to do. Honestly the misunderstanding breakup trope was pretty weak, with the 'fake son', but I think TH didn't want those kind of unforgivable 'eye-plucking' sins for yaojing to overcome because she just wanted the two of them to have pure bliss.
Xiaoyao was the one who made the effort to make Tushan Jing eligible again, because she wanted to be with him. She had never made any offer to Xiangliu, and she turned down Cangxuan's confession.
She also only made Jing the life-saving elixir. Cangxuan and Xiangliu led more 'dangerous' lives in the front line, but she never ever thought to make them any.
It was not easy for her to go back on her own words, to overcome her own crippling insecurities and heartbreak to give this love another chance, but she did it.
Give Xiaoyao some credit. For her to believe in love, is anything but easy.

Well noted... The female lead is someone who cannot trust anyone, not even her own kin, and though she did not really lie to Cangxuan about her feelings for TSJ, she did downplay it alot. As for why she was ever only honest with Xiangliu, it was because of their connection. What was the use of pretending when he had access to exactly how she felt? Thus, ironically that was why he understood just how much she was really in love with another man and probably backed out of even giving it a better shot. So that connection actually gave him insight to her feelings but also sabotaged his own relationship with her...
The one she can actually hide her feelings from, is the man 'she ends up with'. He had no idea how she really felt, while both of them suffered for years over the other. I believe the author wants audience to know that, no matter what kind of advantages we may think a couple could have - it all comes down to basic communication. As long as both sides are open and willing to communicate, things can work out.
As for climax of the series, I don't know if XL's death is supposed to be the climax. We saw his death coming since he refused to surrender. I agree that the execution, even as it was more decent CG work compared to the rest of the drama, still fell rather short of expectations as many other fans have also noted.
Overall S1 was way better than S2 which is such a shame.
