You know, I was a hardcore fan of one Thai bl ship in 2020, which is when I started watching bls, prob due to the pandemic. But I'm finding the fans of one of the actors to be very 'irrational and aggressive' (? not sure if those are correct/fair words to use, maybe 'emotionally invested') when they see criticisms of that actor. I've totally lost interest of that actor now because I found his fans to be very tiring.
So it's kind of refreshing that other countries do things differently :-).

Ah, I think your point about humor was what I felt missing in MOD but couldnt quite pin point it myself. 'Comic relief' are always used to offset serious/dramatic parts and often put inbetween those parts. MOD doesnt seem to have that, i think thats why the 'mood swings' felt more noticable.
And it's better this way so that they can move on to other series and do different projects and challenge themselves…
I agree with you too, that's lot healthier for the actors and fans. I'm guilty as a shipper too, but I'm laughing about the discription 'meltdown' LOL. Spot on !

Yes, agree about the Thai BL industry. I also find those ships can be really short lived, and yes they really milk both the actors and fans in that short period of time.
Just complete ep 8. There's something about Korean dramas, both the mainstreams and now the BLs. I love them. I read somewhere before, though I'm not sure if the source was reliable, but I remember it saying Korea doesn't have many natural resources to export, so they export the entertainment industries, like Kpop, Kidols, Kdramas etc. Maybe that's why they are so well done, at least to me.
Just finished ep 2. I'm surprised they spent the night together in this ep already. I always thought in Kdramas, the kiss doesn't happened until around ep 10. But I haven't watched Ji Chang Wook's drama since his release from the military, so what I know could be outdated. Actually, I think 'suspicious partners' had a kiss early on, can't quite remember.

No worries, I know you are not talking about me. I think part of it is that, the anonymous non-face-to-face online environment 'alters one', maybe 'encourages a sense of freedom', to just type whatever comes without the thoughtful screenings one normally would do in person. Doesn't excuse agressive comments regardless who or why or what they were directing to. But I can understand how online cultures can be difficult in certain ways. And it seems nobody is really immune to them.
