Hi Kat. I agree that constructive criticism is the proper way to go and I believe in healthy exchanges of information as we can never always know where the other person is coming from. I also agree that good manners are important in communications.
Where I disagree is, manners are meant to make others feel 'welcomed/comfortable/safe/etc'. For someone to 'attack' another person and/or their views just because they have issues, often subjective, with the writing style/method of that comment will create an 'unwelcome/unsafe/awkard/etc' environment for some people.
I agree some comments are blatantly 'rude', but some could just be the reader's perception. So to respond 'negatively/by attacking/by discrediting/etc' feeling it's hence one's right to do so can be viewed as, apart from replying in kind, just as 'rude/unconstructive/etc',
Before we get into a possible argument, can we agree to disagree first? I'm happy to continue the discussion, but I really don't want this to turn into an unhealthy battle.
I don't know what your initial comment was, but I share that I may not finish the series. I've put it on-hold for now. I'm still not sure if I like MOD. A lot of the story makes no sense, to me, but somehow they kind of 'work'.
Like WHY would Wi and Bs have sex right after stealing Pa't laptop and almost got caught by InspectorM? I think I'd be so tense and scared and shaking that my body just won't function that way. But I'm not complaining, you can't deny that MaxTul's chemistry is way up there, beats almost all BLships. Why would BS take a shower in the middle of a forensic exam? But I'm not complaining either. Wi's house is huge, and he's not poor, but there's no room or bed for BS to stay in and they have to sleep together? Again, not complaining. Also, why would Pued accompany the school girl (Nam?) for her abortion when he's supposed to be 'missing'? Why would InspectorM sent what he and his colleague found to BS and write that he did his job? Why would that old man lock up the school girl when obviously people will notice she's missing? Pat was killed but his body was left unburied for the police to find out? But the charactors' dynamics/relations did get to through from these, and helped the story to go on. WI already knows where Pued is hiding, why has he not told Por (was it Por?), who asked him to find Pued? But then the series will end if he did that. Why is Dr. Oat there?
I'm used to watching Bones, House, Sherlock, so the medical and investigation dialogues are 'off(?)' to me. But Thai BLs are often 'silly', except maybe ITSAY, so it feels kind of OK.
What's with all the suspicions and mistrust BS have against WI, when all of a sudden he'll cook for him, work with him in the case, flirt with him, tell him deceased information even though professionally he should not? MOD's having 'mood swings', which in a way it's new and interesting in Thai BL, I think. MOD have 'mood swings', with it's chopped up scenes and music, flip-flopping from MaxTul's sexy scenes, tense crime/investigation/drug-rape scenes, the two cute boys' cute scenes, with nothing inbetween. But I don't dislike that. Can't say I like it either. It's kind of interesting.
So, I still don't know if I like MOD or not. But I like the houses.
