Just saw that it ranks #1 in World Wide trend twitter, #1 as the most popular series in LineTV. Possibly topping other charts too. So globally, majority of the audiences like it. CONGRATULATIONS! Just watched GMMTV2021. I love Off. He's really charismatic the way he carries himself. Plus he has a good singing voice. Also he has that 'leadership vibe'. Love him. SUSU OFF!
Tu's sweet, I like her. I think she'll suite Gorya. Actually all the 4 boys looked very convincing in their roles from the intro video just now. Bright and Tu worked. It was easy to accept them as a couple just from that intro video. Very likable. I still have trouble breaking Win away from my view of him as 'cute'. Nothing to do with his acting actually, more my problem to disengage him from his 'bunny' image. Still don't know who Win's screen partner is. I thought it would be Love, but she's not in the cast just now. Curious about Nani's partner also, if there's one in this adaptation. In the MG, his was a Noona romance. A very memorable one too.

The director mentioned that hé'll be altering Kavin's role, so maybe he'll focus on Kavine equally as Thyme? idk. Can't see Kavin surpassing Thyme's importance though. Gorya's story with Thyme is suppose to be the main story, at least in the previous adaptations. Cheers

Kavin is definitely an important charactor with his own, several, love stories of focus.
I think what they meant by 'downgrade' is Win's role as Kavin in relation to Bright's role as Thyme. Instead of Win's role as Tin in 2G in relation to his role as Kavin in F4T.
In 2G, Bright and Win played equally important MLs. But in F4T, Bright is the MAIN ML, while Dew, Win, Nani's are secondary MLs. Perhapes even further divided to third and fourth importance. ALL 4 still MLs, they are not supporting roles.
I think that's why some people called it a 'downgrade', that Win is not in equal standing with Bright in F4T.
In BOF, the division was more obvious than MG. I find in MG, the 4 MLs all have very memorable stories. Although you can still see Dylan having the most screen times. But in BOF, the distinction of the importance is more obvious. LMH is definitely the main focus then KHJ second, KB third, and KJ is almost non existing. KJ kind of just took over all the fighting scene that MJ did in HYD2005, so LMH didn't have to do the fightings LOL. But I can't see LMH fist fight roughly either, his style looks better with swords LOL In HYD 2005, MJ is the main focus again, OS second. AT and MS are about the same, so both third.
Anyone noticed Tu is not really being promoted? GMM seems to be putting a lot of focus and activities for the 4 boys only. Like magazine shoots, interviews, event participations, TVads shows, beach day time off together, etc. But Tu seems to be left out? I saw more of B's real personality in 2G than in his other MLs. B is stoic in real life according to Win. My subjective opinion of B's acting problem in 2G is his lack of subtlety in his acting skills to distingush his own stoic personality from Wat's stern/antisocial/etc charactor, which is not quite the same as stoic/enduring hardships/etc. So yes, B is lacking in his acting skills this way.
The part where I feel Bright is unfairly 'blamed' is the lack of chemistry between B and W. I think Win ought to be equally responsible, if not more. I actually think the one uncomfortable with intimate scenes is Win, in the beginning only, not later in S2G.
The reason I defend Bright on this issues is because he has kissed and flirted with men as well as ladyboys in his TVshows already, both before and after 2G. In bts ToeLaew, Foei kissed him on the neck and he lowered himself to receive it, smiling. During the show, he openly touches First's chin and flirts. He flirts with females too. He also flirts and squeezes Jennie, but Jennie is an attractive ladyboy, I like her too LOL. There's also a photo of him kissing a musician male friend way back when B was younger, I don't know that freind's name, and B's lets him touch his lap etc. So I don't believe B is uncomfortable with men.
Win however, in their live streams and TVshow ads, you can see B is always the one inching bit by bit in the show to get physically closer to W. Like gradually putting his arms around W a bit more each time as the show moves on. I saw that as Win not being comfortable more than B.
Win's changed though, he now initiates these touches, moves closer to B, smells B etc. openly. But that's after 2G.
So I feel B should not take on 100% of the blame regarding the lack of chemistry in 2G.
But I do agree that there's still a lack of 'romantic' chemistry even in S2G, and even now. It seems to me they are physical with each other not so because they are projecting romantic feelings, but more so to 'get back' at the other person for being physical earlier. So they are like boys playing games instead of lovers being romantic/lustful/etc. So yes, lack of 'lovers' chemistry there. But great 'bromance' chemistry.

MAXTUL!!! HAPPY TO SEE MAXTUL AGAIN!!! I swear, making MaxTul kiss so early in the show made my day. Smart move to trigger us MaxTul fans LOL. MaxTul are very compatible. And their kisses, to me, are at a different level. Powerful, smooth, attractive, comfortable, good leads and responses, etc, I can go on and on. To me their kisses beat most other BL couples.
Also, I think the script deliberately slot in scenes to have Tul topless. LOL. The funny one, to me, was when he went for a shower in the middle of his forensic examination. Like why?? I'd think they'd get bloody, dirty, stinky, and wet anyways each time? idk.
Foei looks REALLY GOOD here AND TALL! I know him from ToeLaew and Toelaew2. He doesn't appear tall there at all. Must be because the other host are rather tall too. Toy, Bright, First, and Gunsmile
dropped after ep 2. pace is kind of slow for me. And by ep 2 there's still no mystery story yet. Plus I kept fast forwarding the golf coach's scenes. He bugs me, very fake, both in his script and his äcting. But that's just me, I'm sure there are others who like this show.

I LOVE THIS JAPANESE SERIES!!! It's very happy and jolly. The charactors are well played. Simple fantasy story line with classic cliches. But the script, pace, cuteness, made it feel special. Made me smile. Definitely one of the best BL in 2020 !
