Can't say I like ACTL that much. The show doesn't draw me in.

Ae's sad parts dragged on and I lost patience and kept fastforwarding them. Many other dialogues didn't catch my interest going either and I kept missing them here and there.

It feels weird that TinCan's story started all over again but the rest continued from LBC.
I also cannot stand Can. I know his charactor is suppose to talk plenty and fast, but instead of finding him cute, I find him VERY annoying. I'm hoping he's charactor will become sweeter in later eps.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE ZaintSee, but I wish PerthSaint is still around.

Maybe I can find one Sarawat for myself oneday.... if I don't die ...... I cannot stand their cuteness, I am dying…
LOL me too. I wrote a comment before, if Sar is in my life, I'd be jumping him 24/7 (sorry for the crude expression) LOL.
I'm finding Tine very attractive now in s2g. He did nothing to me in 2g then.

Lately BL shows are going for it hard with the product placements. Back then it was subtle and was just the commercials…
Agree. I've noticed even the non BL Kdramas are having way more product clips incoorpertate lately. Feel like they are returning to the old day's soap operas in the 1950s

They're 2 men in a relationship, what 'wife'? And even if you're assuming his position in bed, that shouldn't…
I see where you are coming from. Maybe borrowing vocabulary from heterosexual relations to use in same-sex relations doesn't work properly.

I can see calling the party a 'wife' can be perceived as him giving up his masculinity, which is definitely not true in many same-sex relations. I'm not sure what words to use as replacement, maybe 'more dominant' or 'more in power'?

To begin with, I agree with you that it is not necessary, or perhaps even unfair, to pigeon hole any party of any same-sex couples into fitting heterosexually defined roles.

However, for the purpose of exchanging ideas only, no claiming of what is right or what is wrong:

I think both the later part of 2g and now s2g , did built Sar's charactor to be 'more dominant'. Not solely by top/bottom positions, but also by their expressions, appearances, how they carry themselves, behaviours that seems to provide pleasure, etc. , Some of these may or may not be associated to tradtional male/female stereoptypes

In the beginning part of 2g, I thought Sar and Tine seemed pretty equally manly. Both were sporty, with mascular bodies, etc, and I couldn't tell who's more dominant. But later I find Sar's charactor became more the initiator and more 'in power'. He would pat Tine's head, which is an affection normally an older person would give to a younger person. He held Tine's face during kissing, which is a more controlling act than being held by the face. He asked to sleep in Tine's room which is agressive. He likes to grope Tine's breast when groping is more active and being groped is more passive, also where breast is traditionally a symbol for women. On the audio side, Sar's voice is not as soft as Tine's, Tine's speaks more gently. Tine would cry when he's jealous while Sar would punch and yell. When they were in their new room, the way Sar pulled Tine to him by the hips and the way Tine lightly and unsuccessfully pushed him away, Sar was definitely the authority there. The sofa scene defined, at least to me, that Tine was the bottom.

I thought the divide was even more so in s2g, especially in relation to traditional men vs women stereotypes. Tine's lips, especially the upper lip, stood out more, which I thought was VERY attractive. His skin's flawless. Little things like the way he would slowly close then open his eyes when he's with Sar, that's a typical method a woman would use to appear more attractive to a man. Sar would say sorry at home after not taking Tine's side at school, that's stereotypical of a whipped man. Similarly Sar "dogged" when Tine told him to choose between singing Scrubb or scrubbing his back in the shower, that's stereotypical of a man losing to the girl and the girl holding him by the chain. The 'fatherly' pats on the head and 'perv' breast groping requests continued, Etc, Etc, Etc.
However, I did feel Win did not execute his part perfectly, something seemed off. I can't pin point what's missing.

Assuming all the above, I don't think Tine gave up any of his masculinity though. I think, regarding the aspects of power between him and Sar, he seems more comfortable, or more frequently, receiving. I also believe in any relationships, be it siblings, lovers, friends, colleagues, etc, the aspect of power exists.

What I'm trying to say is, I probably made a mistake using the words 'husband' and 'wife' to discribe Sar and Tine in my previous comments. Since there is no separate or different sex categories in same-sex relations. I should have distingushed Sar and Tine by their relative comfort levels in initiating and in receiving dominance or power.

Am I making sense here? I'm trying to think it through myself actually.

I'm open to other thoughts.

Take care.

I hope everyone had low expectations going into this. If this was good it wouldn't have sat in post-production…

On Bright - Win Inbox Aug 29, 2020
I hesitated about watching ep 3, because ep2 was so repetitive. But it's BrightWin, so I ended up watching LOL.
Bright's really good in advertising goods and services. Good choice to have him endorsing.
I actually enjoy watching BW eat more than the sports LOL. Maybe they could try a mukbang?

I read the story details and really liked the storyline. I thought it's original, bringing up a baby in the dorm, and was looking forward to watch it. But somehow I'm not able to finish ep 1. I don't dislike it, but it's also not attracting my attention. I'm dropping it for now, maybe I'll come back to it later.

I think he plays the wife role pretty well.
I always worry I might offend people in MDL. I wasn't able to tell from your reply. Please do not take offense should that be the case, it wasn't intentional. But I'm glad you pointed it out though. I edited my comment, hope it's better :-)

I know Bright is not the best actor, but I find him very convincing playing the husband role. Very natural actually. B is very natural projecting the 'bad boy vibe' also in 2gether. Makes me think maybe that's how B is in real life.

I like Win's acting since 2gether, but he's not convincing as the wife, but that could just be me. He comes across more like a 'pouty kid' than a wife with 'feminine' needs/longings/demands/complains/etc. Doesn't help having Sar keep patting him on the head either.

I just about died when Phuking told Mil to pat his head LOL.

To be fair, it's probably hard to portrait as the 'female', assuming Win's straight. There's room for him to improve if he wants to beĉome a serious long-term actor playing multiple and diverse roles. He does very well in the crying scenes, both in 2G and ep3 here.

As for Win's appearence, I do find Win a lot 'prettier, more girlish' in S2G than 2G. I believe it's his make up? His lips looks thicker, eyes sharper, skin flawless, etc, etc.
As for B, B just have to look at the camera. LOL.

Oh I love this series ! The stories are very positive and happy. Lifted my spirit :-)

Just finished ep 197. I'm so glad Lee Yeon Bok said Sun Young is prettier than Jin Young. I totally agree with LYB. But more importantly, I felt FINALLY someone is appreciative of SY's looks.
It really bothered me that SY's own family is so negative towards her and her weight. They keep focusing on her weight and have no other topic about SY to present to the audience. I find them 'cruel' and 'hurtful'.
However, to be fair, it could very well be their assigned 'characators' for the show, idk. But still, there should be a limit.
Good for LYB!

I'm feeling it for Gav.The writers really went into the psychology of the character. He would have abandonment…
Personally, I don't think it's 'bad' or 'bad timing' that Terrance contacted Gav.
Large numbers of people of all ages globally are finding the isolation difficult, in addtion to other issues like finances, unemployment, domestic violences, etc. Mental health problems are on the rise globally.
I feel it's actually a blessing for both Terrance and Gav that they could rely on each other for the time being. It could be viewed as 'bad timing' if they get confused and start having an 'affair'. However, affairs can happen to good people. I wouldn't try to 'judge' such actions during these unprecedented times.
Just my personal view. Take care.
On Where Your Eyes Linger Aug 23, 2020
Just watched again, for the nth time LOL. Still loving it!!!! It's one of those series that'll "linger" on in my memories for a very long time.

I find, unlike Thai BLs where they ship the MLs so we remember the ships seperately to the series, the koreans did not advertise any 'HanJang ships'. At least I did not come cross any.
This story is so beautiful on it's own, there's really no need to have the 'ship' to prop up it's status. However, Han and Jang's chemistry, skills, performances, visuals, and many more aspects, were superb. Would very much love to see them again in the future. BLs or non-BLs

I think it might be to their disservice if we ship them, as that may limit them to be only BL actors. I think they will both perform very well regardless the genres.

Or it could simply be that 'shipping' is only a culture amoung Kpop idols, not Kdrama actors? idk.

In anycase, shipping or no shipping, I still LOVE LOVE LOVE the series and the actors. :-)

Sorry ahead of time. Not the most appropriate or tasteful comment below. I wasn't sure if I should delete it but I ended up keeping it.

****************

Is it just me or is ep 2 badly done? I thought the shootings from one scene to another so disjointed and the story segmented. They did not flow properly at all ??!!

Putting that aside, OMG Bright is sooooooooo good looking here !!! Forget falling asleep, I'd just jump Sar 24/7 if I were Tine LOL.

I wanted to punch Tine when he pretended to give Sar a kiss but picked up the guitar instead.
Seriously, I was SO pissed I would've walked right into my laptop and punch the guy if I could. LMAO.

It's funny and cute Sar's whipped. Seems like Dim's whipped too, you go girl Green! I thought Bright did a great job acting as the whipped husband.

It's also funny when Bright just sucks air up his nose when he's suppose to kiss Win on the cheek in the scenes.

Frank looks taller, I guess he's still growing? *warm smiles*

Thumbs up to ManType. Man&Boss and Green Power!
