compared to to my fave XCH the supposed main character of TBOY, the ml here looks more elevated and seen, he actually has so many highlight scenes, the liquor brewing and drinking is emphasized because of him. I envy this kind of highlights because my boy XCH barely got any. In every male centric wuxia, it's given that other characters will be given moment to shine to give the feeling of martial arts world and adventure so it's understandable but the ml here still takes the majority of the screentime overall if you think about it haha it's just unevenly distributed in the later episodes so it will give a feeling that he has less screentime but my fave again XCH barely appears ohmy and the author slash screenwriter of TBOY S2 is said to be struggling writing the script, idk anymore what to expect.

I read that the prequel and spin off has been planned for years and has greenlight to shoot and film even without TBOY doing well and the scripts are done. But ofc the cgi have been grander here maybe due to TBOY but I think TBOY is not the sole reason that the other projects got to film.

Wait, did you comment this when I included LHY? I actually deleted that part because someone may come at me here but since it's here I'll say my part. XCH is my favourite character in TBOY and the actor LHY was blasted left and right in China for that portrayal but they accepted HMH's BDJ. In my stead, HMH's Baili Dong Jun should gotten the heat of annoyance of cnetz because no offense he is immature compared to LHY's Xiao Chu He but it's opposite in China but maybe for them HMH acted well.
