A musical without a musical....
Gu Hye Seon got a real talent in packing up projects that are guaranteed to flop or disappoint. This is a musical that failed in the music department. A bit of music at the beginning and at the end while the rest was just drama. We didn't even get to see the musical they were preparing for!! Anyway, it's a big flop. Was this review helpful to you?
Eww...
The drama had an awful love square going on, all four were a bunch of children. They literally behave, act and throw tantrums like children. Nonetheless, it's a badly written drama and the stupidity is overwhelming. It's unbelievable how stupid every single character. What's even worse than all of that is both male leads. Both can't act, pure cringe, weakest part of the cast and the worst characters in the drama. Was this review helpful to you?
Okay.....
It turned to be better than expected. A little bit too tame and they play it safe. The big important events were delayed too much, they kinda don't start until the last 30 episodes. Would be better if they had a better spread since the middle parts were a bit dry. It's an okay watch if you like the cast. Was this review helpful to you?
Another failed project from this director...
To be clear, Shim Yi Young tried her best and it seems she was the only trying. The drama full of repulsive character like Cha Ban whose existence was painful to endure for 127 episode. I was expecting something a little better after the first 10 episodes. The writing was absolutely abysmal and there is no arguing about that. Extremely repetitive and uneventful. The big secrets are revealed and the story almost done as early as episode 70-ish, the remainder of the episodes were just random things. They made halve the character get sick after episode 70 because apparently illness = viewers engagement??Was this review helpful to you?
Goddamn....
What do you even expect from a drama where two of the lead actors left the drama in the last third of its run?!! If the cast can't pull it together, there's no saving. The drama gets the stamp of "dead on arrival". Any drop of hope the drama had was completely 100% lost after episode 17. Ah Jun added some serious unbearable cringe when he was introduced. On a side note, the fashion totally sucked. It's too much in your face and doesn't really fit the picture. The original version Phoenix (2004) was infinitely better than whatever this was. For a very similar story Cunning Single Lady (2014) was much better too.Was this review helpful to you?
You know how it goes....
Oh god! It's rough. Really rough. I checked the writer and it's the same writer as President so I expected something slightly better. At least I'm quite familiar with this sub-genre of the sub-genre of makjang so just by watching the first episode I was already prepared. It will probably won't appeal to you. These type of dramas you watch it for the cast and for its ridiculous automated nature regardless of its quality. As I expected, this drama fits very nicely in my rating of 3.5/10 of very similar other dramas like this one.Was this review helpful to you?
If you only focus on the silliness...
It's not that bad but it's not that good either. The wacky chaotic energy is what makes it watchable, otherwise it had nothing else going on for it. The romance absolutely sucked so don't expect much. Was this review helpful to you?
Could have been worse...
I believe the writer got a personal problem against Min Joo. Everything and everyone hated her, the universe is against her for no real reason. This extends as well to most of the "good" characters where they are constantly being punished and are in pain while the not-so-good characters barely get anything in their way. The writer as well seems to be easily distracted and lack attention to details and overall consistency. I've seen other projects from the same writer and this drama is easily their weakest one so far. I didn't like any of the pairings they all felt miss matched, maybe except Mi So she was fine. Some side characters were often neglected for too long and whenever they come back their appearance was meaningless. There are plethora of other problems, it's hard to list everything. Can't think of a reason to recommend it.Was this review helpful to you?
Okay-ish...
I think this would have been great as a 2 hours comedy/life movie if given the proper attention. In its drama format it's just too flawed. The students' acting was a hard sell and I couldn't give a damn about their romances. The teachings/life lessons/messages were mostly a hit or miss. I don't know why I was expecting something on the level of GTO. Anyway, it's passable. Was this review helpful to you?
Alright...
The drama is fine but its biggest problem is the lack of clear direction, event happen as things go along. It's like an indefinite series and you are tuning in for the episode of the week. Which would have been fine if it was limited to 20 or so episodes. Another thing is how quite it feels and the lack of interesting side stories/characters doesn't help either. Again, this would have been fine for a shorter series. The drama had a good idea for a story, good set up, capable cast and interesting enough prominent characters/stories but it didn't accomplish much with all of that despite having a very relaxed 50 episodes run. Overall, the drama is alright but there's much left to be desired.

Okay...
Absolutely nothing special or new here, pure fluff but you would keep watching for the leads. Yeon Jung Hoon did a great job embodying his character and so did Uhm Ji Won . Speaking of the leads, why do they always kiss side ways? Too awkward. Was this review helpful to you?
I watched about 10 dramas of Lee Dong Gun and I hated him in every single one except this one, of which he was tolerable this time. Speaking of which, both the FL and him felt underwhelming as the main leads but passable. I was wondering where's grandma in the last few episodes just to discover she passed away! Rip Kim Young Ae :(

Hmmm....
Goddamn! The little kid "Dae Reum" was the real star, she completely stole the spotlight. The usual typical hoops and loops with any melodrama/light-makjang out there. Things don't make sense, things change suddenly and artificially, things come and go that are out of place, and some plot devices were introduced and played a small role but never had a follow up. The cast size and the number of stories were limited for a drama that is 57 episodes, a little more variation was needed. The leads barely had much chemistry and they were moving too fast and unrealistically in relation to the preceding events. One thing I really disliked is how the drama teased that "one" secret for 50+ episodes with infinite close encounters just to fill up an episode. It would be alright if they were to tease it from half way through. Overall, it's okay. Was this review helpful to you?
No....
A Thousand Kisses? I don't recall more than 2. Right from the very beginning we were introduced to her serial cheater husband who was caught multiple times and was forgiven every time. That was a big telltale sign for how the drama was going to be, and it turned out to be exactly so. In short, this is a 50 episodes kdrama stretched to oblivion about extremely improbable probabilities. The last 20 episodes weren't even about the main leads, it's like they cut them out and got back to them on the last episode. The female lead "Woo Joo Young" ended up having the least amount of screen-time because of that. What were the director and the writer thinking?! Ji Hyun Woo shouldn't accept such "destined to fail" projects.
