Almost
I loved the unhinged scenes every now and then, the actors put all their might into them. Then comes the ending, to say it's bad is an understatement. It was done purely for shock value. It doesn't serve any other purpose, not even an artistic/poetic one. Straight up wasted which really unfortunate because the drama was decent.Note that this drama is 16 episodes + 4 extra. The extra episodes were completely useless and irrelevant to the main story, just some cases of the daily life of a loan shark and can be skipped.

Problematic writing
This is the worst mother-daughter relationship ever written. The writer is completely clueless on how to write relationships. The same goes for the father-daughter and other relationship dynamics in the drama. In fact, writing in general was awful. The story itself was too thin with little to no content. No one met the father in person until episode 11 which they had to because they needed to stretch it. It deserves even a lower rating. The writer couldn't even write a generic ending. It was meant to be focused on the mother daughter dynamic but the mother decided to die alone with her doctor friend. Not with her daughter or the ex-husband or the boyfriend. They never told the daughter about her illness until she found out suddenly that her mother died. All what the daughter got was a generic email 1 year later after her mother's death. Shitty ending with no climax, you would expect at the very least some good one final good bye dialogue between the mother and her daughter. Was this review helpful to you?
Love plot-lines sucked big time but it was an okay sports drama
The cast members were so damn young almost unrecognizable. A 30 years difference brings a lot of change for sure. It's a decent drama with a banger OST but love plot-lines were weak. The drama made me realize why don't we get more sports dramas? The last "actual" sports drama from the participants/players perspective was Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo from 2016! I would love to get something like Slam Dunk in a Kdrama format. It's a shame that Shim Eun Ha quit acting! Was this review helpful to you?
An okay watch but nothing stands out
Big fat never-ending intense love triangle from start to finish. The family relationships portion of the story was fine but the romance/triangle portion sucked. Uhm Tae Woong isn't a good fit for romantic roles, something about it is just missing. Although the ending was okay but it could've been better. Was this review helpful to you?

Nutty....
You aren't allowed to question anything in this drama otherwise it'll be unwatchable. Nothing makes sense and nothing will, you've to accept that. They take everything way too far and over dramatize the living shit out of it. Those soliloquy scenes in the black room were an awful addition to the drama. Cringe direction. Was this review helpful to you?

huh....
Very typical makjang. It follows the exact formula without attempting anything new. They over done it for how much the baddies can get away with, there should be some balance. The cast didn't help either to keep the drama afloat. Some of the camera angles were too weird, the actors were looking point blank centered directly to the camera. Was this review helpful to you?
The story is way too thin for a 124 episode drama. Which is why it had 30 episodes epilogue!! There were loads of other problems from writing, characters, pacing and production.

I wish.....
The title and the poster are completely irrelevant to the content of the drama. It's a generic "wrongfully accused" story where nothing stands out not even the villain. Add to that the unappealing kind of "birth secrets" and you get a dull combo. Unfortunately, this led to an unavoidable lukewarm ending. The cast was fine initially as they were being introduced but my interest in them fell gradually. The worst part about the drama has to be the plot of the husband in a coma, just poor writing. Was this review helpful to you?

OOF.......
The narration had me dead on the floor. It reminded why I hate these old people style narration in media. This is the 2nd worst 'TV Novel' drama from KBS after 'Eun Hui'. I was looking forward to see Oh Seung Ah as the protagonist but the drama sucked. On another note, they showed a suicide attempt with slit wrist without blurring or censoring which is very rare for TV.Was this review helpful to you?
Spaghetti
The whole pregnancy thing was a complete joke. How did the writer ever thought this would be passable for human consumption? I bet you if you asked ChatGPT to re-write that part it would come up with infinitely better scenario. At least it gave me a good chuckle. The story changes randomly to suit the writer without meaningful justification/resolution and some are just cut off without a mention. Like how Tae Pung's mother never hired a lawyer despite having millions? Anyway, the drama is the usual infinite loop of corporate hell until it reaches the end. Most of the revelations felt weak after a long build up. The drama was completely unhinged, you need to shut down every neuron in your brain to endure it.Was this review helpful to you?
