I love Yoon So Yi but this is her worst project she picked up to date, even worse than "The Color of a Woman (2011)" or "Say You Love Me (2004)". Barely serviceable story and full of generic makjang characters. Unnecessarily long for such a scuffed story. They created a massive conflict in the last 2-3 episodes and then proceeded to brush it off within half an episode despite having a very relaxed 51 episodes of nothingness. There wasn't much chemistry between the leads. Both male lead sucked. All the relationships sucked, romantic and non-romantic one. Especially with the in-laws, it was exhausting and brain numbing. By the end, I couldn't care less who would end up with who and what happens to who.Was this review helpful to you?
Big meh....
Decent cast but the story was a massive let down. With every single turning point the writer choose to take the worst possible route. Let alone the story itself wasn't interesting. By the end of episode 5 everything was revealed and there wasn't much to look up for. It's also the worst bodyguard themed drama. Was this review helpful to you?

Low saddness...
The cast did a great job but the story was handicapped from the very beginning. No amount of effort in the writing department would save it if the basis were this fragile. The most crucial part was to show how deep their love was but they failed to establish that, not even remotely close. This led to make all the subsequent events lukewarm and impractical. They didn't even dare to show a single kiss. The drama is padded with sad scenes to make us forget that fact and be drenched in the sadness instead.I hated the ending. There was only one possible, reasonable and appropriate ending that is for both of them to die but the writer didn't allow that.

It had a good set up to work with but unfortunately it went the full fat cliche melo route which dulled it down and took away from its merits. The extreme over-dramatization stripped away what little emotional impact the characters had built up. It took it down a notch even further for how many chunks in the middle parts that were useless. Dong Won had potential to be a better written character but he ended up being a poorly written one. Joon Soo & Sung Goo dynamic were cartoonish and lacked depth, we were only given a glimpse, they could've done a lot more with their 24 episodes in that regard. In fact, I see the whole thing as a big wasted potential. Was this review helpful to you?

Decent comedy for the first half then jokes become repetitive and boring. They should've added a time-skip in the second half for when the kid is older and able to talk, this would create a better dynamic and more jokes. The cast was fine but unfortunately there was a lot of overacting for the sake of comedy. Was this review helpful to you?
No....
Absolutely unsatisfactory conclusion after this much anguish. It seems all the events in the drama took place in a short period of time. This made story too static which means not much development. The entire drama was the couple shouting at each other and yanking the baby back and forth. The last episode was straight up shit. Not a single likeable character, not even the support ones. Was this review helpful to you?
Had slight potentials....
Not really a sports drama, that's like less than 15% sporty scenes. I didn't like how it started, it was set up for failure from the beginning. The relationship between the 4 leads was boring and dry. Both ML and FL were stupid and their love wasn't even justified, always felt like a fling. The melodrama that was going on outside of that was underdeveloped (birth secret/the abuser) and only brought up around the ending while all the earlier parts the love square was chasing one another. Was this review helpful to you?
No...
The comedy, romance and drama sucked in this one. Most of the characters were unlikable especially both male leads. Once the marriage contract was made the story turned for the worst and never recovered. Was this review helpful to you?

Rest in piece Jang Jin Young. She's an absolute star, no wonder she was one of the highest paid actresses at the time. I've only seen her in movies, this is the first drama I've seen of her. One glaring issue is how much stuff they were throwing at you. It's like taking 20 action/thriller/politics K-movies and smash them together. It made a very sloppy writing. It was entertaining enough but that one time skip in the middle and everything followed it was very weak and kinda boring. It only managed to pick itself back up around the last few episodes. Was this review helpful to you?
Okay
I grew tired very quickly of the FL and her ex harassing each other non stop. If that were to take a big chunk then they should've reduced its length or added better elements. Was this review helpful to you?

Unfortunately, it's as generic as these unknown makjangs as they come. Extremely low budget, mostly E-tier cast (other than the elders), washed up plot and story and copy-pasted/auto-generated writing. It's almost unwatchable with zero potentials from the beginning. Was this review helpful to you?
Okay...
Casual family drama, might be too tame. Not a lot happen, the story is short with minimum sub-plots. It needed more interesting elements. Maybe having more characters would help. Was this review helpful to you?
Not really...
I can't say this was a successful collaboration. A lot of mismatching going on here. This is the type of story that would fit perfectly in a 120-150 minutes J-movie instead of 11 scattered episodes. Some soundtracks were really good while the others were generic free licensed tracks. I don't why the inconsistency. Was this review helpful to you?
Not good...
Just highschoolers fooling around, it failed to keep me interested or make me care about any student. All the problems were only surface level and didn't go any deeper than that. Which is unfortunate because the drama doesn't have another theme to lean on. School/youth drama seems impossible to nail on a larger scoop and eventually they end up being made for teens. Was this review helpful to you?
A solid package
Rest in piece Choi Jin Shil. It breaks my heart watching her after knowing what she went through. She's a wonderful actress I will always remember. I've seen a handful of 90s drama and this one has definitely a unique style. More like a dreamy and melodic feel, from the color grading to the rocking motion of the camera to the jazzy edits and adequate dialogue. All three main leads were wonderfully written. They're independent with their own problems, they have their own world outside their interactions. This is a textbook on how to make main leads. Also, great OST.Was this review helpful to you?
