Finally done!!! The 1st ep was SO promising in terms of romance but my expectations came crashing by the 2nd ep. The romance was just argh (I mean where did the feelings come from? it didn't seem he even dealt properly w his initial loss). Seriously the crown for the worst female lead out of all 4 goes to Irene (frustrating stupidity and misplaced stubbornness). Shadow team and the male leads honestly carried this show along with an interesting villain plot. The captains all had something that makes you like them and root for them. most of their actions and decisions are ,for the most part, well placed. Anyway the show (all 4) minus the romance is good.
So the more I see this one (so far on ep4) the more I think it makes sense to start from the beginning. It has to do with the overarching enemy as they deal with them sporadically in part 1-3 but they are the main enemy in p4. if you start with this one and work towards the rest then it'll be retrospective, If you're just watching this one you'll be missing very few bits and pieces about some of the characters and the enemy they're fighting.
Same formula as the first two which is expected. The romance is kind of boring and the female lead showing a sour face the entire lakorn. Male lead is ok. The story, team work and fight against Sia was very enjoyable which what kept me watching and interested. I did get choked up watching some parts of the last ep.
Just finished watching the 3rd installment and will start this one. I see a pattern in the Paragit series and have certain expectations on how this will go. So far I enjoyed the joined missions and the fight scenes, the romance and chemistry especially in 2 and 3 have been kind of a snooze for me. I just hope the chemistry and character of the leads here are enjoyable.
Finally done with this one. I think @MusicalVeggies gives a great review of this lakorn read for more details. This starts out good only to fall flat in the second half. The last ep was good because of the side characters only and it did tug my heart. The ost is till not great with only one good song. Acting was decent but the progression of the female lead personality was just weird and even though I had an understanding of her, I ended up getting frustrated. Most of my rating goes to the first half and last episode.
This was quite enjoyable. Logic is rarely a trait of dramas so no need to overthink things and enjoy the story. Two people who are strong and prideful come head to head to then fall in love. The princess even though she's stubborn, she's a kickass and loved that about her. Drama/romance/action, the elements work well together with a bit of mystery and the great chemistry between the leads. At the beginning I wasn't into the actor playing Dawin but as the drama progressed I found his acting and relationship with the actress/Alice is really good. The actress gets the trophy she is so talented and shows the class and elegance of a princess. Overall the cast did a great job portraying their characters. I loved the locations and costumes (the dresses were amazing). I would've loved to have seen more at the end of the last episode especially with 1.8 hr at hand.
TLDR: you into "Bodyguard" romance with a flavour of who'd kill to get the crown? this is your drama.
Started this on a whim with no info and I spent 12 hours watching this on a weekday. It is a wonderful drama with a great idea and scenario (between the leads). My eyes are swollen from crying as I could relate to so much of the story where I see myself and family. Interestingly it is not anxiety or "Aghhh stupid drama" inducing, in spite of the fantasy, this is pretty much a slice of life romance. Great acting. I'm glad it's 12ep as the story didn't need more episodes, but as usual per kdramas they cram so much in 10min even though they had 70min to wrap things up neatly. Watch it for the sake of marriage doesn't equal happily ever after.
On ep3, I just don't understand who'd just barge into a wedding they aren't invited to and starts questioning the bride about not having a big wedding <.<
