There seems to be some misinformation regarding TPOB being passed around because of hearsay or mistaken memories, so here is a timeline to help straighten some things out.
No official statement by authorities regarding the investigation result of the “scandal”.
In comparison with SZE’s other 2 dramas, ‘Demon Hunter’ was ready to premiere when the “scandal” hit, and there was news that the drama SZE filmed simultaneously with TPOB, ‘Created in China’, was sent for review on 29th January 2024 (https://weibo.com/5565206512/4995486644442366) but there has been nothing regarding TPOB.
TPOB official weibo (https://weibo.com/u/7555310192) has not shared any new material or posted anything be it on special days or birthdays including LYN’s or milestones of the drama’s reservation figure since the “scandal”.
No dubbing studio posted anything about TPOB’s dubbing. Only GJ mistakenly posted on weibo about his dubbing.
There is no news that TPOB has been sent for review to receive a broadcast license thus far.
It usually takes 1 year for a Cdrama to air after its wrap. TPOB had 3.5 months of post production when the FL “scandal” hit. We have receipt of 1 character’s dubbing done 4.5 months after that “scandal”. That’s all that’s known.
TPOB has also been plagued by other scandals involving 2 supporting actors and 1 supporting actress. CZJ with a more serious sexual assault allegation involving a minor. And allegations of LDD cheating on his wife, and LXQ forging credentials in the application of the university scholarship she received. LDD and LXQ don’t seem to be affected and are appearing on TV just fine.
Post production work for TPOB might have continued normally or it might have halted or had its pace slowed down after each scandal. We can only speculate whether they are even done with post production work for TPOB.
