I feel like it’s the complete lack of the “royal family” presence . I do like how we got straight into it but we went from a “local magistrates” to “ I have an indictment” to “we poisoned you just bc”.(obviously we have to wait to find out why they killed him) I think I might have to rewatch the first few episodes.

i saw an edit somebody made on tiktok where cfans posted them watching the drama. Obviously i have no clue but that made me a little proud because i am enjoying it alot too.

the storyline is so good, they have really fell for each other so now i am scared. Correct me if I am wrong but i don't know if Mei Zhu has powers anymore to save them😭. Also why is everyone against them??? stressing me out. all his brothers, her best friend??? their relationship was doomed from the start. As of now as much as i am enjoying it they are too deeply in love for me when all this chaos is building up. I hate watching sad or rushed ending so i hope they finish this drama off well. This is the only cdrama from this year that i plan to complete from start to finish which surprises me because i usually hate dramas with fantasy and demons and so on.

Also the main leads have me speechless. Tian xi wei is my number one C actress for me. I have only started watching cdramas dec 24' and every historical drama i have watched with her i have loved. I didn't know much about Xu Kai before this drama but damn he is finee. I need to see what other historical dramas he's in. I thought i had to wait until Tian xi wei drama with zhang ling he to see her and saw that she was in this one and just decided to blind watch this. I was taken aback by the demons but i am enjoying it. I guess their chemistry is making up for it. Xu Kai has been added to the stan list alongside Tian Xi Wei & Zhang Ling He. He is now one of my clients. His eyes are stunning as well.

The whole reason why i logged into Mydramalist account after ages to comment on this because i can't be the only one that's bothered by this. I am on Eps 6 right now but from 1-6 so far Cheng Li Su face...something is not right...it is giving AI i don't know if he's wearing contacts or if he has a vision problem where his eyes go out of focus. His facial expressions his whole vibe feels like them Vtubers or maybe they put face tune skin blurring on too high for him and they messed up or maybe his face card is just too tea idk. Sometimes i want to scream focus here brother snap out of it 😭

okay i fear I may of had really high expectations for a C drama produced/edited/released in summer 2025. I haven't watched anything since Blossom 2024 & flourished peony 2024. I am weirded out by the quality it feels a bit outdated. i can't pin point exactly what but something feels off.

Also im going to need Xiao Jue to loosen up right now i'm getting impatient (a jokey joke). He needs to find out who she is now so i can find peace. But the story goes on so i can't wait to see how it all plays out. He Yan is carrying the season for me so far. Perfect balance of fight and bite. Her character development is so fun to follow along. Love her down. It's her drama frr i need everyone else to step up.

Honestly I still disagree. If they wanted to start pumping out propaganda we would have seen way more of this over the last few years. In the however many years we've had medical kdramas we have not seen a single drama focused solely on OBSGYN. We can all make our own conclusions as to why this has not appealed to any *MALE DOMINATED* kdrama writers/producers over the years. I am not korean but coming from a strict cultural background just speaking about women's sexual and reproductive health is still a taboo even in the big year of 2025. We in the west (I believe we still have a long way to go) have a huge privilege when it comes to this whereas some societies are not so lucky. Especially in korea we have seen rising cases where men have this animosity towards pregnant women ex/ korean men refusing to get up for pregnant women on trains (basically we are slowly regressing as a society). And it's crazy because without OBSGYN we would not have been able to come into this world safely.

I think now more than ever we need to raise more awareness on women's health and as a medical student I see this as a turning point. Displaying womens strifes on such a huge platform like netflix broadcasted in a fairly conservative country like korea is more beneficial than just reducing it to "propaganda" + "just to increase birth rate"

Also let's not give korea/male producers too much credit they too know that no matter what they do or how many kdramas they end up producing women will not have children until their human rights are given back to them.

Not really they are one of the most important and busy wards in the hospital literally save womens lives day in day out and bring in life. Reducing this all to propaganda is crazy. We have kdramas for every single ward but god forbid they make a OBGYN one (excluding hospital playlist). Also they don't only focus on childbirth. They also focus on womens sexual health and reproductive health. Although it's too early to say how much they will include we have so far seen multiple FEMALE patients with cancer. Such heart breaking stories. To reduce it all to "propaganda" is insulting. I'm sure if you choose not to have a baby or the whole female population of korea doesn't want to have a baby that department would still be full of female patients in need of medical assistance (PCOS, IVF, OVARIAN CANCER,MENOPAUSE....) the lists literally goes on. Don't take this away from women.

i just don't think he fits bens character and the trailer confirmed this for me. i am still watching but i hope he can prove me wrong. no offence but his face is too botched for me.

Can someone reply to me when any romance starts and I know it may be never happen but i have hope. I know everyone so far has said it's a great thing that there's no romance plot and "girl power" and fair enough but i'm sorry they have too much tension for me to sit here and not expect them to fall in love and be okay with it. They are the perfect candidates for true enemies to lovers and visuals are 10/10 both fine specimens but you're telling me the director confirmed there is no romance plot. I will have to stop watching bc i'm not cut out for this. I might watch this at a later date when i want to watch this kind of storyline. Imagine getting through flourishing peony with no romance plot like zilch just women suffering constantly at the hands of dusty men . God forbid i will never put my self through that again.

This was definitely meant to be a movie. Do you guys think that maybe seon ho controversy plays a role in why this MOVIE* was not broadcasted in korea and instead cut up? I wish their was a part 2 because their is so much you can do with the story it's such a shame but I don 't think anyone has plans to. I can't believe I got catfished into watching a Korean movie.

The main actress Jo Yoon su blew my mind she was too good. I fell in love with her to be honest. The way she perfected the character. She perfectly portrayed the personality disorder and how this assists her in being an assassin. Their was just soo much of her we could've gotten. Her becoming resistant and being able to go out in the sun . LIKE IT'S SUCH A SHAME. I needed a replacement for Han so hee after her weirdo behaviour towards hyeri as my favourite korean female character/actress . She was 10/10 for me she saved this whole mess for me. So if you are going to watch this mess watch it for her and no one else.

I hope they don't make this length of kdramas a trend. I don't understand why all of a sudden they are "using" Witch 1&2 and saying it's some kind of multiverse as an excuse to make a "drama series" this short and snappy. Why didn't they make it a movie then like witch oof...

Such a waste of Jo yoon su character. I'm just mad at this the most. I can forgive everything BUT what I cannot forgive is the wasted potential of the most perfect female character to ever grace my screen and have heart eyes for. IT'S A DAMN SHAME.

the coming back from the military comedy/melo/romcom pipeline needs to be investigated. Just how bad was serving for these elite k actors to want to be in a heehee haha drama and not action/thriller/crime that they specialise in? And for this man specifically from holding off on giving us The Grid season 2. Im calling this the Ji chang wook pipeline bcs wth I don't want to see "versatility" I need the old him back. Same old same old Seo kang Joon. We already lost ji chang wook.

10/10 one of the best kdramas of i've watched in 2022 for me i don't give one single F. Jihoon+Hyunwook's acting is really top tier .It would be a shame for them to follow the webtoon and for Suho not to wake up like ever. Currently watching for the second time right now . I think i'm probably not going to stop obsessing over this kdrama until season 2 is out if by then the band gets back together, and i specifically mean is Suho and Sieun ONLY Bumseok can rot in mental asylum he can use all his abusive fake daddies money to be sectioned in a mental hospital and get some very much needed therapy. Jihoon and Hyunwook's chemistry sealed the deal for me die hard besties(?)

i genuinely enjoyed watching grid but wtf was that last episode even if there is a possibility of a season 2 shouldn't it have been a bit more organized. It feels like the writer added a whole lot in the last few minutes of the drama which was probably meant to be for the 16 episodes very cheap of them tbh. No matter if it sci-fi or not I mean it's still a drama excusing this entire mess bcs it's "a sci-fi hee hee" is not good enough for me. the closure that we were looking for was not given where it was due.
And I recognized the kid from maze runner I'm not too sure if it was him. but if they did film or gonna film a season 2 is it going to have seo kang-joon in it is he not in the military?

tbh it's a really weird twist I just finished ep9 and I feel like there is a lot that needs explaining for there to be only one episode left. I really love this one I wish it was 16 episodes instead of 10.
