On Pit Babe Season 2: Uncut Jun 3, 2025
The script is mediocre and bland, the acting is just ok, the nc scenes feel like they're just there to meet a quota... the chemistry between the actors/characters for some reasons are so dry and uninteresting... except for Kim and Kenta. I was trying to give it a chance until ep 5 and the subsequent ep 5 reaction from the cast. The topic of SA was handled so poorly I unfollowed and dropped immediately. There was no acknowledgement that this is actually, definitely SA between Babe and Willy, and any apologies from the cast is just... also mediocre.

I kind of stopped paying attention and skipped through the last few eps, but the first half of the show was so so promising. I just couldn't find Ming's character redeemable at all though 😭

Fully agree. I wanted comeuppance. And I too thought that the framing of the reconciliation was .. a swing and…
yes! i totally agree with that as well. I hate the black and white of well there was no penetration so you're fine and I'm fine. Akin was obvi not fine 😔 also a lot of bl viewers are women/femme/queer/mlm-- a population that is highly targeted for sexual violence/date r*pe as well-- so I think it could have been quite cathartic in that way??

cw: date r*pe, sexual violence, manipulation, etc.
I haven't read the original source material, but I didn't like how the Johnny arc was... portrayed? I think it could have been a really important conversation to have in a genre that notoriously brushes over r*pe/sexual violence. I think it was all going 'well' until after the car scene. The car scene was really impactful because you can feel the shame Akin carries around, and how he may not be entirely 'truthful' especially if he thinks he was r*ped. I think whether Johnny had really done it or not, Akin would probably feel really hurt that Jin didn't seem to really believe him or support him after a really traumatic event (date r*pe). I didn't love how the two reconciled and it was framed around how Akin didn't actually sleep with Johnny. I don't really think that's the point-- he was violated mentally even if not physically. I would have liked to see the angst between Akin and Jin, not whether Akin is innocent or not whether he was actually r*ped-- yknow? With that being said I haven't seen ep 8 yet!! Also, I think the use of erotica is really well done. Not just with the physical chemistry, but the editing and thematic elements of honey and water. Kinda crazy but I love it 😗😗😗
