Liu Siu Feng most likely came from one of the family in that Valley sect which created the pill that turned people mad. He mentioned something about getting revenge for that Valley sect in ep 9 or 10 (?). All the sects had joined together to get rid of them for creating that pill so I'm sure it has to do with that.
This may not be the most sophisticated production or the most ingenious script, but it's been a fun show so far.…
I agree, anyone that knows about this drama knows it's not a flashy, overly dramatic, catch you with surprises right off the bat drama. I feel CY picks dramas that tell a story, and these usually start off slow and builds momentum later.
Maybe I should just stay away from MDL for a while, itβs painful watching the ratings keep dropping. I really…
There is a lot of specific negative target at this show right now, over in China from the haters and apparently from the international haters as well. π
In case people need a refresher, in ep 1 the system specifically stated the changes/additions, leveling up of power that XMM added to the character did not stay true to the core values of a wuxia novel which is growth, setback, righteousness, chivalry, etc. So the system took most of his cheats and tweaks of the novel away and told him he must experience it the way it was meant to be. Until he is able to gain the strength of a true hero is when he can make changes to the plot. Otherwise, he is forced is play out what was already written. So even though he thought he can still change the plot, the system will self correct until he achieves the goal of gaining true strength.
And when he was dropped into the novel, XQS' character already had a life of learning fighting, friends, events that already took place. XMM literally is starting in what you would call an already moving plotline. And with the fast paced wuxia environment, it was either you adapt or be killed.
After watching up until ep. 6, my take away are: - he went into a system novel so the setting for costumes and props can look a little amateurish and cartoonish, after all it is a make believe world. The characters are young and immature thus the bright pastel to reflect that. And before anyone says 'well, such and such has nicer/better outfits', that was the creative's team to take it in that direction. Every creative team will undoubtedly take into consideration the looks they want to portray for the drama so to just criticize it blindly without understanding the reason behind it makes no sense. You can not like it, sure, but to say the budget was low or it's cheap looking really doesn't take into acct the decision behind it. - as for the awkward and weird humor, it can also be construed as XMM doesn't know how to act in this make believe world. He's dumped into this family and in a time period he was not familiar with so it can be expected that he's going to be acting kinda weird and funny. Hopefully this changes as the story goes along because I am feeling weirded out by this acting at the moment. π₯΄
Hey, all you π¦ fans or any haters out there. Stop your nonsense 'personal reviews', 'opinions', 'it's just my thought' comments. No one here wants to read your trash. Silence is golden. π€«
After a long Chengyi drought finally! its refreshing to watch as usual. The effortless of delivery is truly Chengyi…
That was what I always thought of CY's acting abilities, he IS the character and not 'pretending' to be a character which I feel most other cdrama actors do. That's why it's more enjoyable to watch his performance compare to others.
