So you heard too?? I know, the co-star... π―π³!! But the story's point of view would be so unique and different, and CY's character would be so 'interesting'. π€
It's a small YouTube Chinese drama review/update channel so that's why I don't know how accurate it is. But the info she gave was so detailed that if it was made up, it would be one hell of an imagination. Or if the drama story is accurate, but the role might go to someone else and it's not CY. So it'll be interesting to see if it's true or not.
Don't want to spread false rumors, but let's say it's a spy genre. I read last month that CY was quietly preparing for his next drama so wonder if it's this. So if anyone hears about this too, confirm, deny or give updates!
Hi, I was wondering if you spoil me this, if it has a happy ending and if there is romance, especially a love…
With how CY was able to convey all the feels and sentiments of just his character alone in this drama, not sure if I care to see him in another romance. He definitely can carry all the emotions himself without needing a female lead.
Just noticed now watching the fighting scene inside where LLH took off from the carpet and he RIPPED it! How strong…
It's these little details that gives us a glimpse of how really powerful he was. I honestly think if he had his full power DFS would not be able to beat him. With that being said, he would beat DFS by a slim margin though.
we should wait for the CCTV ending, They might give us the alternate ending thereπ₯Ή
I was working this out yesterday with another commenter. LXY is the grandson of Crown Prince Fangji and Nanyin Princess. They were ordered to die so another royal member took the throne. This new emperor couldn't have kids so that consort from the Pagoda case had the affair with the Nanyin sorcerer (who happens to be looking for the missing son of Prince Fangji and the Nanyin princess) and had the kid which is the current emperor. The missing son of Prince Fangji and the Nanyin princess ended up having LXY and his older brother. So the current emperor is the son of the consort and the sorcerer whereas LXY is the grandson of the crown prince and the Nanyin princess making him the legitimate heir to the current empire.
Ep 31 around the 40 min mark they explained. Consort xuan (the nanying princess) was married to prince fangji…
Yes, I figure out just as much except forgot the part about Feng Ah Lu looking for the Nanyin's princess' son. So that would mean the royal member that took over Prince Fangji 's throne was infertile. Which then means the current emperor is illegitimate. Finally mystery for this is solved!
Saw on wb, the screenwriter responded to MLC finale:"Many drama fans asked me, where did Lianhua go? The sky is…
I love the last part 'the answer is left to everyone' cause it was her way of letting every viewers have our own say of seeing LLH off. Whether it be him traveling around with his 2 besties or believing he has finally left everything behind. It's our letting go of LLH to wherever he is, is how he would have wanted it.

Yes, we're on the same page. LXY's father and the current emperor would be from the same generation. And LXY and the princess that is betrothed to FDB are from the current generation.
He has a YouTube channel. Just search for 'Marcus Here'. There were so many comments there that echo what everyone on this page says, 'best wuxia, didn't skip a minute/episode, sad it ended'. Seems everyone from everywhere feels the same way about this drama. So rare.
The current emperor's mother is having an affair, so he is not royal blood. His birth father was killed by his…
I had a similar question as you about LXY lineage, but was too lazy to look into it until you brought it up. So in ep 6 it explained that crown Prince Fangji and the Nanyin Princess was ordered to be executed because the prince wanted his dad to abdicate. This was LXY grandparents. Because of this, another royal member was given the throne. This new emperor or maybe the emperor after him couldn't have kids so one of their consort had an affair with the Nanyin sorcerer. So it's either the current emperor's 'grandfather' or 'father' that couldn't have kids thus making his 'royal' lineage illegitimate.
As for LXY, I think Prince Fangji had a son who most likely grew up in hiding (thus the new surname Li ?) and eventually had him and his older brother. And I think it's a son cause LXY's shifu's wife explained that her husband and LXY's dad was close friends and after the parents died, they promised to find the 2 boys when they went missing. If it was a daughter they would have mentioned her being closed to the shifu instead. That's why if LXY wanted to claim the throne, it would have been indisputable since he was both the current empire's legitimate heir and a royal descendant of the Nanyin kingdom as well. Along with the fact he's the #1 in the martial arts world. π
A lot of the lyrics in these songs are also so poetic to the whole drama.

And yes Li Lianhua, we shall meet again in the next role. π
