This drama tries to be cool but it’s not it. LDW is absolutely dashing here, I love his new hair. And the SLs are charming. FL has great personality but gets saved all the time, and LDW can’t show his skills on his character, I hope he gets more debth. I was hoping for a more unique name than Lee Yeon too.
It’s pitch perfect but something is missing? Originality perhaps, it feels like a copypaste of previous dramas and even american tropes. Fortunately it pasted in what I like, but the predictability and clicheness puts it at a meh, 7 for me.
The plot is too fast, perhaps because we’ve seen it all before? That scene in ep3 where LY gets injured, typical but only after ep10. I think the couple got together way too quickly, it was only on the 4th ep.
The SLs are written so badly. SeMi's only purpose is to ruin it for ES, and also JM. YeonJoon's only purpose is to like and help ES.
They have nothing going on for them. No individuality or development. They need to entangle themselves from ES(mostly SM, YJ's feelings for ES aren't harmful but as a second lead we should know more about him than that.)
Someone commented here how they YJ was their favorite second male lead, but I like to separate a person and a character. YJ is a kind person, but his character is empty.
And this is the difference between an 8 and a 9 rating. Because the murder mystery and the leads are great, the kid is cute and the parents are adorable.

They can steal the book but don’t know they can read the last page.
