You are right, but Semi is a lead and MIL is the villain, ofcourse she's the biggest A-hole. Besides Semi is merely a plot device, a hindrance to the lead couple, while MIL is her own character

I'm so tired of bitchy SFLs. When the second most important woman character only exists to catfight with FL, and be jealous of her and ML, it drags the drama down.

Every colonial time drama ended like this. Mr sunshine and bridal mask too. It's the happiest ending you could get. Gives you hope while being realistic :c

Miki is a korean adoptee just like the FL. She's been abused by her father, who was a korean ally to Japan, a traitor basically. I think she had a crush on ML?, but she is kind to the FL, it's not a cat fight.

SML is a Japanese prosecutor, he is righteous and not fond of colonialism, but will hunt violent freedom fighters. He also likes FL.

Do the main couple end up together? It was truly unclear, I dropped it at ep14. I know what happens to the other couple.

She did talk to her sons grave though, about his child. That convo wouldnt make sense had she been guilty.
