+ Absolutely loved the FL's solution to the one nyang she got. She listened to the people. It was so far the most touching scene in the show.
- Do not like JSY's eyerolling. It's like she doesn't know what to do with her face. It doesn't suit a medieval noblewoman. - The king's rudeness toward the eunuch was unnecessary and badly scripted.. - What did JSY get for the deal with the mean girl?
A female lead doesn’t have to know how to fight in order to be a strong character. It’s not surprising that…
Had you read you’d know my problem isn’t her strength, it’s that first of all she’s a spy. Wal could’ve taught her to throw a punch and embarrassing situations like breaking into Kim’s house and failing wouldnMt happen.
The thing that many people from the outside can't believe is that North Korea does have an upper class, and strangely…
Did I imply I was only talking about poverty? Or that other countries were flawless? Like you said, all North Koreans, are subjected to harsh treatment of their government.
Episode 3 changed my mind a little bit. I thought this would be a cupcake show, but it knows how to be serious, and the main mystery is intriguing.
I wanted the lead to want to become the queen. I don’t mind her getting help, but it’s not her own plan. It’s the plot of two politicians. She's just a pawn.
Besides I don’t get why she didn’t learn fighting. Information is dangerous work and she should be like Oknyeo.. I hope she wont get saved again. I understand sometimes one is in a dangerous situation, but she is saved by the same person when she's doing work she should be trained in.
Honestly, I think it's great a show like this exists and that it's on NETFLIX raising more awareness of NK worldwide…
I felt bad watching the villagers. I couldn’t sit in my safe rich country laughing knowing the reality. But you’re right they’re not being made fun of and I get why the writers couldn’t portray real NK. I wouldn’t write this but I will continue watching and I don’t fault anyone.
Comparing a fascist tyranny to whichever country I might be from is wrong however.
The drama is fun but it feels gross to set a romcom in north korea. People starve there, and anyone that watches foreign tv shows or buy a foreign rice cooker risk death.
I wish more emphasis would be put on EK. She should be a mirror to EB, instead she's the boring good girl while EB is lawbreaking and daring. I love that she is all that but the opposite is okay too
Why do all joseon drama women have to be feisty? It's an annoying trope just like modern drama women all have to be ditzy
In episode 2, the king and dowager is sitting opposite compared to other dramas.
The highest rank should be facing the door, sitting closest to the wall. So if the QD is in the king’s room, he should get up and let her take his seat.

Why can’t just korean channels plan in advance? Why say at last minute a show wont air this week?
Perhaps, when the ML resolves his brother's death, it'll cause him to lose faith in his government and leave with the FL.

I’m not feeling the girlpower :(
