I saw a kid standing near an open well in a garden trying to peep inside. His mother had barely left his hand for a couple of minutes and he had run there out of curiosity. The mother followed immediately and slapped him. She was extremely flustered and scared. The ensuing scolding implied it had happened before and she was too scared for his life. I am not saying that domestic abuse is acceptable but a slap is sometimes just that and not abuse. I think arguments intending to hurt, broken families, lack of display of affection screw up people more. In some cultures getting slapped once when you went knowingly in over your head is a right of passage. As for the concept of filial piety it is there but that doesn't mean you aren't allowed to revolt, all it means is that you aren't allowed to harm yourself doing it.

Not in schools here,though there is hazing in college. But then there are no cliques either. I have heard of instances of corporal punishment but it is by teachers and rare

I love the story is because the first season is about her love while the second is about his. This version seemed to be doing that well but in the last couple of episodes i found Furukuwa Yuki's acting wanting. Joe Chen did it better. Uptil now Yuki was on his way to becoming my favorite among all versions because I found his potryal most convincing.I hope he does a turn around in the coming episodes.

He has dropped from 1st to 7th in the top actors list. I wonder how they come up with the list.

Now that he has drastically improved his acting, I want him in a ground shattering romcom.

Breath of fresh air. I always think drama relationships are too dramatic and can never be considered healthy for real life. This was a realistic and healthy relationship.
