If the further plot is going to be joe straight up falling for ming I won't be happy , I need some serious plot…
nope, it’s actually the opposite! in the novel, after waking up, joe’s character resolved to never get involved with ming again and to live out his new life peacefully with his mother and old friends. the feelings and emotions attached to his past relationship with ming were too much for him, he just wanted to forget about it all and move on. however due to *circumstances* (which will be revealed in this ep most likely) he ends up getting involved with him again.
it takes a lot of time for joe to even think about accepting ming romantically again.
The separation was needed, so that Yuan could cool his head a bit. Not much happened in this episode, but they…
I don’t know if you saw it, but a more recent comment shared a translation of the text messages xiao yuan sent wei qian which gave more context about how his life was going in the us (e.g. internships, making friends, building his career by making games with his colleagues)!
like seriously…every time he gets those headaches, every time he loses his footing and stumbles, i just remember his expression as his head got smashed into the concrete during that fight 😭 as if a punctured lung wasn’t enough, what if he seriously hurt his head? what if he sustained a brain injury? why does he keep on ignoring it and just taking those pills? why does he not care about himself more? what if it gets to a point where he starts to forget things? what if he forgets lili? WHAT IF HE FORGETS XIAO YUAN? as a neuro major this is seriously distressing me 😭 someone tell me this is not where the novel goes 💀
my profile pic was me watching this episode … I absolutely adore yai and how he is such a novice in love,, he’s always so cautious and mindful of jom and it’s just SO SWEET 😭 especially when his character is contrasted to jom, who has been immensely hurt by love in the past
did anyone else cry when yai and jom were dancing in the ballroom? the scene where all the guests were smiling and clapping when they finished dancing was truly executed immaculately, my eyes instantly started leaking because it really elucidated the inequalities between the way heterosexual vs lgbtq+ relationships were viewed during that time. like the way it felt so illusive and dreamlike, as if it really could only happen in one’s imagination and never in reality, made me tear up fr 😭
i think what i enjoy most is how genuine the actors are to their characters, it literally feels like I’ve stepped into their world rather than watching their love story play out 🥹 also the olive oil scene literally had me fanning my face they executed it so damn well, props to nonkul for being literally the best actor to exist! 😌
this series is seriously such a breath of fresh air 🥺 as someone who has waited patiently since the first trailer dropped, i am so happy with how this is going and hope it gets more recognition in the future ♡ also bright and nonkul are doing such a fantastic job at portraying their characters
just saw the live from last night and i just have to share some of my thoughts 🥺
although i did not previously read the novel this is adapted from, watching this as its own entity has been a really great experience so far! from the very start, the world building and character introductions were so well done that i got through the first 6 eps swiftly! i appreciate how they chose the animal life to go first, as the audience doesn’t have as much of an emotional attachment to the characters compared to when their second life finishes. so starting off with that comedy was a really smart move~ so far their second life has actually been my favourite, i became so emotionally attached to lck and sxy 😭 their bond was portrayed so well, and i actually sobbed throughout the entire 12th episode 🥺 i also loved how they broke up the lifetimes by having some episodes back in the heavenly realm! by having chu kong and xiangyun interact as themselves, it really solidified their bond for the audience. my absolutely fav scene was when chu kong started crying looking at the stars 🥹😭 so far their third life for me has been okay, but i definitely feel it picking up in preparation for the upcoming pain 🥹 overall, if you couldn’t tell already, i absolutely adore this show and I just wish there was a way i could convey my love for the show to the actors, because they so deserve to be acknowledged and praised for their performances! it makes me so sad that all this negativity is saturating the discourse on this show ☹️
dyx and ycy, you’re doing a great job 🩷 jin wen im sure ur a nice guy, but ngl i feel like ur doing ur job TOO well bc i absolutely despise ur character 😭🤣
im not sure what drama some of yall were watching bc we definitely weren’t watching the same one …. i love this so much!! their first lifetime as a tiger and boar was absolutely adorable! also lu changkong is the bestest boy ever 🥺 i was seriously sobbing throughout the entirety of ep 8 and can’t wait for the next eps to drop even tho i know they’re gonna hurt 😭
He was infected by some kind of virus at the hotel where he and Ren had sex.
ohh i was more thinking that maybe he had the infection already, then being out in the rain exacerbated the illness and caused him to get a temperature and develop pneumonia/meningitis. im unsure whether someone can develop pneumonia and meningitis just from being out in the rain?
hi friends, i have some questions, sorry if they’ve been answered before 🥺
if ye xiwu was the one that took tantai jin’s evil bone into her body, why is it now in li susu’s body, when she presumably already has her divine essence?
also if ttj of the original timeline lived 500+ years before he annihilated the immortal sects, why did li susu just assume ttj the emperor died when she heard the storyteller? wouldnt he be able to live for centuries even without the evil bone bc of the divine essence she gave him?
i hope im making sense 😅 and im ok with spoilers if the answers are from within the novel! 🥺
im completely blown away by the first two eps?? UGH i just love the tone of this and how it’s shot… it’s definitely giving me queer indie film vibes and i LOVE IT
this is definitely one of those special shows for me…its not an exaggeration when i say i loved every single second of it 🥺 such a cute little series, and the actors were amazing (special mention to lee seung gyu .. that man can ACT) will definitely be rewatching when i wanna cheer myself up 🥹
I don’t understand the negativity with some of these comments, it was a really sweet story even if the time skips were a bit disorienting! i wish it was just a little bit longer so we could’ve explored more of what went on during those 4 years 🥺 also i cannot put into words how much I love da yeol, he’s just so adorable 😭
