I just wish that Minato will open up and be honest and stop denying what he feels, I understand why he is afraid,…
Minato has always been honest about how he feels, surprisingly so. He's acknowledged that he is attracted to Katsuki Shintaro. He's his type. But he also acknowledges that Katsuki Shintaro is a minor. That is a big impediment to any advancement in their relationship from something platonic to anything romantic. He's been understandably keeping that line
Having said that, there still is that possibility for advancing their relationship because Katsuki Shintaro will turn 18 soon enough.
I binge watched until episode 17, I'm loving it. But so much already happened, the protagonists did mature and…
There's quite a lot more to explore I'd suppose. 1. They've only now started to mutually express their love for each other. So there's room to continue there. Maybe a baby along the way? And raising the Prince's kid? 2. They've said on multiple occasions that Xu Qing Jia is capable of reaching quite high in office/rank. He's only gotten one "promotion" so far, if you can call it that. 3. We have yet to explore why the "thief" is after Xu Qing Jia's father's umbrella and the forces backing the previous county magistrate. 4. Gao and Yu Niang's storylines.
I don't understand how this has such a low rating on here and Viki. Are those 18 ratings based on 1 to 2 episodes? Or the FL's temperament/character? While I don't condone the FL's violence, it is clear that one of the main points of this drama is to show character growth. Well, that is my hope. And while I've only seen 5 episodes thus far, I have to say episode 5 gives me a lot of hope for the future of this drama. If this is able to maintain or even improve for the length of its run, this definitely has a chance of being a gem.
This drama is a bit odd, but has a lot of satisfying elements. I think they had a ton of content to work with and just shrunk everything as best to fit, so you're left with making more than a few assumptions. Regardless, I do appreciate the way the dealt with the romance and the intimate moments. There was believability to most of it, especially the kiss.
The problem with this drama, as with many other BL dramas, is time. They want to say a lot in short amount of time and that usually ends of making everything feel disjointed. That being the case, I'm willing to cut this drama a lot of slack because I appreciated Eom Se Ung acting and character, the fact that we got queer characters who didn't need to explain their sexuality insofar that they were attracted to men, that they portrayed how irrational people and relationships can be, and things ended better than I expected. Was the storytelling and editing messy? Yes. Would this drama have benefited from 30 more minutes? Sure. But at the end of everything, I don't feel pissed off or angry or too annoyed. Maybe I'm just crazy.
The first episode was rough. But it gets better after that. Yes, it may feel rushed, but the writers are actually doing a pretty good job with the episode limit. One way they're doing that is by having Queer characters from the onset. I think it's safe to assume that our OTP and 2ML all know they're into men. The conversations between Yeong Woo and Hwang Yi Bin and Ki Jin's physical interactions with Yeong Woo tell you all you need to know. It doesn't totally explain away how things escalated that fast, but does it need to? They're young adults going with the flow. What feels right to them in the moment. For me, that's the beauty of this drama.
You and me both. And to think I started it thinking it's just a 24 ep. cute drama. I ain't got time for 41 ep....nope
While there is a high probability that a thousand things will go wrong with an episode count like this one, there's also the probability that they would end up focusing on the other couples and characters of which there are more than a few. That tends to happen in dramas like these.
Both leads are doing a pretty good job here. They both emote and deliver their lines well that they bring life to their respective characters. Jimmy is really selling me on the nice, teddy bear, kinda air head but not really kinda character.
First time I watched episode 1, I was really confused. Episode 2 was much better, as was episode 03. Then I went back to watch episode 1 and everything makes sense. It's amazing how much we rely on dramatic irony in telling and understanding a story.
The food porn is great, but am I think only one who thought the first episode moved really slow?
Nope. Aue's scenes are especially slow. Probably not as slow as how long it took for Aek to pick up his first delivery from Aue's restaurant, but still unnecessarily slow,
