I really dislike when they portray someone as being dislikable at first and then they show that they've had it super rough as if to excuse why they're dislikable.

He Yao is one of the more messed up villains I've seen in a long time. He is hiding behind Lin Zai's desperation to get what he wants. It's the feigning care part that's really really messed up. Telling Lin Zai what the risks are, but knowing full well that he neither of them wants to stop.
And Lin Zai is really really annoying me. I get why he has blinders on. But the dramatic irony is really doing a number on him here.
I did not expect Song Yi to bottom. That couch scene was actually quite good.
Generally, I don't find Wang Chen Rui acting particularly strong, but he sold that entire couch scene. The way portrayed Song Yi giving into Xu Fei Yu was really captivating and natural. You can tell there's love there.
And the man's body is just off the charts. He has the visuals all around.
I know they love each other but sometimes it feels like they're just boss employee or just friends
Kataoka explained it a bit in ep 1. They've both been conditioned in the Yakuza way for so long. It is unlikely that the power imbalance or the way they act with each other would ever change, at least not any time soon. Maybe they might change at the end. That's not to say that they don't do things outside the norm.
One would imagine that Kataoka being verse is outside the norm. Sex is a form of language/communication/interaction. They do a really good job of showing that in this drama imo.
Odajima's fears start getting the better of him, Kataoka is there to provide assurances in a unique way. Heck, they might even be best friends at this point, as well as that can be.
Odajima hiding the phone like that is also outside the norm (granted, yes, yakuza can backstab, sure).
Their relationship makes sense to me. I appreciate they did it in the way they did.

And I need more Shisaka dramas. He left a pretty strong impression on me.

Shisaka Ryoto deserves more roles in drama land. He's a very capable actor. He sold ep 10 really well.
