The cooking is the only thing keeping me watching at times - episode 7 nearly had me falling asleep! Don’t keep me wrong, I’m enjoying the balance between drama and cooking, it’s the best thing about the show but some episodes need a better editor as they lose pace very quickly.

It’s going to be available in some Asian countries from 29/31st July and USA from 1st August. AUS/NZ from 31st July.

It was an interview with the producer around the time of the script reading, so December 2003. I think it was posted on Twitter but I’m not sure.

I’m sure they aren’t covering the full novel, they haven’t even announced who is playing Han SooYoung as she is supposedly only making a cameo appearance at the end of this film and will appear in the next one, if the first is successful.

They are only covering the first part of the novel in this film. They are hoping to split the whole novel over 4 or 5 films.

The idea is to split the film into 4 or 5 movies, they definitely are not covering the full novel in the first film.

From what I’ve heard they will go up to where Han SooYoung enters the novel ( that was a while ago though so may not be totally accurate).

Just so you are fully informed I’ve been watching kdrama for around about 10 years now, so definitely not my first lost striped slipper.

May be something like The Silent Sea is more for you, a serious kdrama set in space? You are acting like WTSG was mislabelled when it’s clearly been marketed as Rom-com set in space since they started filming it in 2022.

The acting, effects and chemistry of the cast is first class and It’s a refreshing take on the kdrama rom-com for me - I’ve loved both episodes.

Total opposite for me, it was fantastic to see something different instead of the same old tropes rehashed.

E1 was excellent! Quirky and different, I’m sure some will dislike it but I’m very happy to not be watching the same old rehashed kdrama romcoms again!

One of the women has a terminal illness and they get back in contact with each other, I think the focus is more on this time in their relationship with maybe flash backs to younger years.

I think people are forgetting that Minho is 37! Not a huge age gap!

Watch Salon Drip with them together- great chemistry just on that one chat show. They’ll be great, they are good friends in real life too.

I welcome your opinion and I agree that TKEM isn't an easy watch, it’s complicated with many converging storylines and dual roles which can cause confusion. If you’ve watched up to ep9 then fair enough.

Just one point though, TKEM was a massive worldwide success, so saying it was universally disliked is very unfair. It didn’t perform well on terrestrial broadcast in South Korea but it’s still on the top rewatch lists for Netflix all over the world 4 years later.

There’s a few different trailers with plenty of zero gravity scenes. It’s a story of life in the space station so, although I have seen GHJ doing a space walk, most of the story is set inside the ISS.

It’s probably not going to be for you.

The King was a huge worldwide hit on Netflix, that brought Lee Minho millions of new fans. He then auditioned for Pachinko and won individual and collective critical acclaim and awards, the latest being Best Actor bestowed by a South Korean awarding body.

He’s also moved into producing, with WTSG being his first production credit ( under HIS company MYM) and has a movie coming out in summer 2025, that he also co produced, I think MYM and Minho are doing just fine. He is also in control of his own career, not at the whims of others like in the past.

Even from the trailers of WTSG you can see the sparks between Lee Minho and Gong HyoJin, but it is a rivals to lovers story so I expect a slow simmer with bickering at first. There are plenty of other shows coming out which you’ll probably enjoy more though.

The quality of the main trailer is fantastic, people are too quick to judge.
