Title Love after Addiction Spoiler
Was the kiss real, or was it Yang Meng’s imagination?
i believe the kiss was real, but it also brought back a memory (not necessarily pleasant one) which is why he broke/stoped the kiss.

Episode 4 - all this time I was under the impression that Toh is Teh’s younger brother. This was because Teh is very overprotective of Toh and tends to infantilize him somehow. But what didn’t match was that in the plot, Toh seems to be an adult already - he has graduated and is opening his café, while the others are still college students. So I went back to Episode 1 and then confirmed that actually Teh is the younger brother (calling himself as “nong”) and Toh is the older brother (everyone calls him “P’Toh”).

Anyway, I’m just very curious why Teh infantilizes his brother so much. Why is he so overprotective? At first, I thought it was because he wanted to protect Toh from Jimmy, who is not only a player but also kind of evil... But it doesn’t seem like Teh is protecting Toh only from Jimmy - he has a general approach toward Toh that is very… shielding.

Do you'all think it could be because Toh isn’t able to fully sense when people might have bad intentions? Could he possibly be on the autism spectrum? (I mean this just as a thoughtful observation, not as a judgment.)

I just want to say that this series isn’t for everyone.
If you’re looking for simple, non-toxic relationships, you might not enjoy it. There’s a lot of psychological games going on here, and it can get a bit exhausting if all you want is a sweet, light romance.

This show isn’t trying to teach you anything or tell you how you should act. It just shows people being… well, human: emotionally immature, struggling, carrying traumas, making mistakes – the kind of stuff that actually happens in real life. And honestly, that’s what makes it so somehow interesting.

I don’t watch it to judge or call out the characters, even if I know their actions are morally questionable. I watch it for the pure thrill of watching human nature unfold, figuring out their motives, reading their emotions… it’s kind of addictive.

So far (after ep 1): the biggest progress in their relationship is that Sorn finally started respecting Jun’s boundaries in the bedroom. This time, we only got intimate scenes based on mutual consent, which was definitely missing before. That’s a really big step forward, especially for P’Sorn.
The way Sorn calmly reacted when he learnt that some guy was messaging Jun. No jealousy scenes, no outbursts - just a calm conversation. that’s already something (the beginning of trust), which can actually be the foundation of a healthy relationship. However.... checking your partner’s phone? Still a big no no.

It’s just a pity that Sorn revealed their relationship to the biggest gossip at Jun’s workplace, and against Jun’s will. Forced outing like that is not okay. The creators decided to soften it with the argument that Sorn loves him and that’s why he wanted to “pull them out of the closet.” …🙄🙄🙄
Well… progress, I guess considering we started with non-consent scenes, and now we’re down to “just” forced outing and checking his phone.

On the positive side, the series does promote safe s ex: condoms, lube, and preparation are all shown. Overall, this special is (so far) much more comfortable and enjoyable for me to watch than the main series.

I really want to rate this series already 10/10! It keeps surprising me in the best way possible.

The Chan x Jet scene was so unexpected! I’m not complaining, but I thought it would stop after the first kiss or maybe the second. I didn’t expect it to go this far, but honestly, it was one of the best-executed scenes in Thai BL I’ve ever seen. I’ve watched so many of these scenes, but this one gave me goosebumps. I kept wondering if it was really happening in the series or if I was dreaming. It was so beautiful and so well made. Both of them looked so comfortable! The actors did an amazing job.

Besides that, the women in this series are portrayed so well.. Even the background characters are well-written and genuinely likeable. Truly impressive work!

Reading the comments about episode 4, I honestly feel like I'm watching completely different show.
Tuo’s behavior was way more problematic in the previous episodes, but in this one, he actually respected all the boundaries. Intimacy scene didn’t feel forced to me at all. The only problematic one here (ep.4) was He You Mei.
So, dropping the series over Tuo’s behavior in episode 4 just doesn’t make any sense to me.
If you cut out He You Mei’s assault, I think this was actually the cutest and most sensual episode so far. And “top or bottom, I’m fine either way, as long as I’m in you” - I thought that was just adorable.

I have to say this because it was one of the biggest positive surprises for me - I absolutely loved them for that shower scene where they were blowing soap bubbles (ep. 10). I swear, to me it’s one of the best intimate scenes I’ve seen in a BL lately. Gentle, romantic, perfectly balanced.
Very possible that I’ve watched so many wild NC scenes recently that I really needed something this tender and calm. Keen and Than as a couple are incredibly romantic, and their scenes never feel over the top. Even though there are quite a few of them, I still can’t get enough. Definitely one of my favorite on-screen couples this year.

Another BL fan in her 30s here and I have to say, I’m honestly blown away by this series. What really captured me were the realistic, natural dialogues, the bittersweet, emotionally engaging story, the aesthetic, the way scenes were filmed and edited, and especially the fact that it didn’t go for a "clean" ending just for fanservice. It chose realism instead, and that gave it such an authentic feel.
I’m not exactly a millennial or Gen Z - I’m somewhere in between - and maybe that’s why I could kinda relate to the vibe of this series. When I was their age, social media wasn’t as big as it is now, but still, my teenage years were full of similar emotions and struggles. The show does a great job of portraying the messy emotional reality of being a teenager.
In my opinion, this is the best Thai BL of 2025 so far. I love when a series leaves something with me - a feeling, a scene, a line - something unspoken that just lingers. And that’s exactly what happened here. I know I’ll remember this one for a long time. And honestly, there haven’t been many recent BLs that had that kind of lasting impact.
On I Promise I Will Come Back May 26, 2025
Quick thoughts after the first episode:
I think the series has such a low rating (for now) because of the subtitles. The translation is bad, but I can still understand somehow what they mean.

Besides, there's so much more to this series than just the words and dialogues.
Low-budget shows can have a unique charm and this one feels beautiful and relatable.

The setting in Northern Thailand is stunning,. So far I love the music!
The main character is so kind, not just to people but also to animals - it makes him instantly likable.

HELLOOOO??? That first ep?? Absolutely ate 🔥 The drama, angst, the energy,?? 10/10

Nice (Keen) is insane for that performance. Like HOW is he so soft and precious but also giving sly genius mastermind?? I’m obsessed with him already
Gun (Than) is killing it too, and their scenes together - straight-up fire!. . The Tension, looks, chemistry.. I was kicking my feet the whole time.

Also can we talk about how the ep was the perfect length? So much was happening I thought it had to be almost over, but it just kept delivering.
This show is about to ruin me and I’m READY. Off to ep 2 now 🫠

I understand that the show is trying to establish context, character, and motivation for the main characters but…
I’d say there was definitely a slight BL vibe right from the start as Sun and Kong were clearly a thing, so in my opinion, the BL genre is present from the very beginning. And okay, fair enough - the two leads meeting only in episode 3 does feel like a long wait. But considering everything else that’s going on (grieving a boyfriend and a father, plus the whole prison situation), I can honestly forgive the slow pace. In fact, I actually appreciate that the show gives us a more layered plot, especially with the focus on family dynamics. It makes the characters feel more real and complex. That’s something that really sets this show apart compared to other action BLs we’ve seen so far. Still, totally get that it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.

I'm planning to start it Can anyone tell how is it is so far?
I'm really picky when it comes to Thai BL series, especially now, with so many of them airing all the time. Sometimes just watching the trailer is enough for me to tell whether I’ll like a series or not. That was the case with this one. I decided to give it a shot because I liked the raw, unpolished vibe of it in the trailer.
So far (after ep.2), I’m enjoying it. That said, I also liked Jack & Jocker at first > the first two episodes were promising, but it went downhill from there. So I’m trying not to judge too quickly. Still, I’ve got a good feeling about this one so far.
On The Bangkok Boy May 4, 2025
Although I'm not usually a fan of gang/action-filled series with fists flying around all the time, this one is surprisingly good and raw without being over the top. It has just the right amount of angst (at least for me).
The rating is totally misleading.
I've never seen the main lead in anything before, but he’s definitely a good actor from the very first minute of the show. Everyone's talking about "Bonsai Daddy", but why is no one mentioning Songphum Papi? He's so fineeee.
It's a shame the actor who play Kong isn't in the cast list! I need to check him out, such a cutie.
On Let Free the Curse of Taekwondo Oct 19, 2024
Since so many BL shows are coming out now, I've become quite picky - I can't watch everything that's released, so I choose what interests me the most and what I know will match my taste.
But there was something about LFCT's trailer instantly caught my eye. I didn't know at the time that it was directed by Queen Da Seul. It's not that I love all her works, but there's definitely something about them that always draws me in.

As soon as I watched the trailer, I knew I had to give this one a shot - and (so far) I haven't been disappointed. Actually, I’m pleasantly surprised and in awe of how raw and authentic it feels.
By "raw," I mean there’s no sugarcoating - no pastel colors or luxury aesthetics. Just a serene, countryside surrounded by mountains, and that early 2000s vibe that hits you right in the nostalgia! I’m completely in love after the first two episodes, and I’m so glad I didn’t miss out on this one.

" In the book it was clearly written and in the drama it was portrayed JT looks down at himself (below his abdomen) as soon as SW moves away to his bunk. Yes he was aroused as per the implication."

Oh wow, I'm so glad you mentioned that. Honestly, I also noticed that JT glanced down, as if under the blanket, right after he rolled onto his back with a rather shocked expression. Originally, I interpreted that scene in the series the same way - that his surprise wasn’t just about what almost happened (kiss), but also about his body’s reaction.
That suggested to me that JT couldn’t have been asleep and must have been aware of what almost took place.

Maybe there have already been comments here about this scene, but I personally haven’t seen anyone interpret it the same way llike i did. And knowing my tendency to overanalyze, I just figured that maybe I went too far with my interpretation.

why did it take me until ep 5 to realize that the teacher is zach lu from crossing the line 😭
It took me 9 episodes to realize that Jed Chuhng (Little Mouth Xu) played the main character in the BL movie 'The Light'. there are more familiar faces from the BL series/movies here :D

Questions for those who watched the whole first season (spoiler alert ⚠️):

After reading spoilers from people who read the novel, I realized I see some scenes and character behaviors differently than those who only watched the series. I know the director left out some dialogues from the original novel and added scenes that change the story a bit, affecting the relationships and characters.
Before I keep reading the novel, I'd love to hear your thoughts if you've seen all 12 episodes. Here’s my take on what’s going on in the boys' relationship based solely on the series story:

1) Sheng Wang only realized his feelings for Jiang Tian after seeing other couples kissing (like the pair on the balcony and the teachers). That’s when he understood Tian is more than a brother for him.

2) Why did Sheng Wang pull back from the kiss in episode 11? Not sure about this one.. Is it because he doesn’t realize Jiang Tian’s feelings so far, and he is scared to cross a line and risk their friendship? Or maybe he’s confused about his own feelings after his recent gay awakening—or a mix of both?

I have one more thing that’s been bothering me!
3) Episode 11, the ‘almost-kiss’ scene in bed: Was Tian actually asleep and unaware that Wang was about to kiss him? Or was he just pretending to be asleep the whole time?

I’d love to hear your thoughts and see if anyone has a different perspective?

The bad editing (too long, too short, strange cuts, no cuts) and the not-so-smooth transition between scenes which…
Yes, you’re right! This is definitely a flaw in most Thai BLs with action/crime/mafia themes, it's not just about this one production.
However, it really bothers me in this one because I like YinWar a lot, and I wish I could get as invested as I did in their other works. I hope that as their relationship develops, I’ll be able to experience the emotions of this production more intensely.
On Jack & Joker: U Steal My Heart! Oct 7, 2024
I have the impression that there’s a strange rule here: "If you’re not amazed by this series, don’t watch it!" Well, I’m not amazed, but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad production, and I’m not going to abandon it because I believe the acting and chemistry between YinWar is incredible. I feel this production still has the potential to surprise me.

I come here after every episode to share my thoughts, not to get likes or comments agreeing with me, but to share my perspective.
After five episodes, my only and the biggest issue with this show is that it just doesn’t build up the emotions or pace things well.
In Episode 5, there were some awesome scenes with Jack and Jocker, but they were either too short or got cut off by other storylines way too quickly.
It’s the same with the action scenes, tension isn’t built effectively, and we jump chaotically from scene to scene. In one moment, they’re fighting fiercely, and in the next, they’re calmly discussing plans at a table like friends, completely losing the emotional context. It ends up being hard to feel invested and enjoy these parts of the story.
Also, the problem isn’t the length of the episodes, it’s that some scenes drag on unnecessarily, like the auction scene in Episode 5. That scene could have lasted a minute or less, and the outcome would have been the same. Aran losing the auction - did it really need to stretch on for several minutes? Viewers quickly grasp the context and understand that a new plan will be needed. Similarly, the scene with the attendance list felt overly stretched. While these aren’t major flaws, they unfortunately slow down the pace of the drama making moments feel tedious and stealing time from more interesting storylines . It’s a shame that the time spent on drawn-out scenes isn’t dedicated to more dialogue or character development.
