OMG. Jealous Tae Woon is my fav! The guy is tough and mean but he wears his heart on his sleeve for his girl. I like that he doesn't hide his feelings from her. How can his character keep getting more and more perfect? The guy's acting is so good, I'm convinced he feels the emotions. And progress!! Sometimes I feel Kim Jung Hyun carries this show. But that's wrong - Eun Ho is superb and the evil Hee Chan is so believable that I don't like him but I keep thinking "wow, he can really act."
Kim Se Jung is really really really good.
And thank God and K-drama writers ... there's no love triangle. Now become officially a couple instead of a quasi-official one, you two.
So So So many things in episode 9 <3 The story is getting darker with more going on. Our main ship is sailing and it's fantastic. I love Tae Woon's character - He's a mean guy, but he's sweet to his girl, he doesn't meddle in anything, but he stands up for her and tries to for Bo Ra. He's a protector of the weak and an all around tough nice guy who's not afraid to admit his feelings and act on them. And he's looking out for a friend who doesn't want it, but he cares so he will continue protecting. He's so the best character this year. And it's all portrayed perfectly by Kim Jung Hyun. All those facial expressions and the looks in the actor's eyes tell us exactly what he feels. This is perfect writing and casting. Wonderful story.
I could go on and on about Ra Eun Ho (Kim Se Jung) for best actress, but let's leave that for another time. This post is already too long. >_<
NJH can kiss - as in all his previous dramas. Its the actress. Notice that all her dramas have the same lack of chemistry and all the leads she acts with (except Yoo Chun - because that drama portrayed them as friends more than lovers) has that same distance from her. As if they are afraid to get too close and really get into the nitty-gritty of the role. I think maybe she had some trauma or something that prevents male leads from truly acting skinship roles with her.
I think the casting should have switched her role with Krystal's. Krystal is not a newbie per se, and she really puts in effort.
Loving this show. Mostly because it's so high school life and problems. And the romance is slow building and solid (so far). I loved the last episode to pieces! <3
I watched it. I enjoyed it, but the drama series had more Haruka-coolness. I have to say I like the drama better. But I'm glad I watched it because I cant's wait 6 months to see it.
Haruka is so so so good looking. I love his "tough guy, do anything to protect my sister, my sister is my soft spot" persona. So sweet and so cool all at the same time.
I love his evil side eye too! He makes a very rounded villain - in that, when I first saw his character in Suspicious Partner, I knew he was cold and evil, but he must have had some kind of understandable motive. He's know how to play a character with excellence and dimension.
Yes. Chinese produced dramas are becoming better than Korean dramas an viewers appreciate the story more. I think this is because the Chinese ones are developed and produced before they air, so the story can be edited to fit perfectly. Not so for Korean dramas where filming and editing stops minutes before an episode airs. Plus, in a K-drama, the writing is ongoing while the show airs. That's not stellar.
I love this show. an't wait for them to fall in love and get married. I like Krystal (more than Shin Se Kyung) but I don't want any 2nd leads coming in the way of the main love story. I don't know what will happen next but I hope there's no real love triangle and that Habaek focuses only on the main lead.
i agree with you on all of these. Except Love O2O which I didn't see, but reading your take on it... I hate unresponsive kissing. I like to see a nice relationship with casual touching and real feelings being portrayed. Some of these dramas mask abuse of romance as romance etc but the story is sometimes good nonetheless.
That said, we all love our illogical romance dramas even though intellectually we have consciously suspend disbelief. Sometimes in my experience while watching a drama, I have to tell myself - "Don't question it, it's in the story, just believe what they tell you and enjoy." This post is concrete proof I'm not the only one.
I hope the lead couple don't get separated, and that they keep their rust in each other. Dramas tend to drag when the leads separate. This show is too good for that!
Kim Se Jung is really really really good.
