why does ShenYR want his wife back, when he knows she loathes him now ?.. to further torture her?.. he's so disgusting...a…
He's definitely gone psycho...I think it's more like she is mine and only I can have her (possessive, obsessive and crazy), hence why he hates Duke Su. I do believe he still loves her and never stopped, but definitely in his own very twisted way.
Just a question, if SYR had to choose between his mum/sister or his wife, and chose to kill his wife otherwise Wanning would kill his family, isn't it sort of out of his control? I guess he could try to hide XFF or something, but it seems that Wanning is always suspicious and has many spies that will likely find her and then end up killing SYR's family. In that case, what could SYR have done? Similar to what SYR said, Duke Su is able to give up more (the Long Wu army) because he can and has no attachments (family have passed away). By no means am I condoning what SYR did (it truly is horrific), but I've always wondered what someone from his standing could have done to outwit Wanning...
I donโt mind a bit sheโs not virginal. I actually appreciate so much that the author creates XFF character…
Yeah I agree, I was just wondering in the context of the drama and that time period because I'm not too familiar with the history but it seems a woman's reputation in that sense was quite important.
I know this doesn't necessarily make a difference, but am I right to assume that XFF consummated her marriage with SYR? So Duke Su technically won't be her "first"?
For someone who has read the novel, who exactly is Princess Wan Ning? I didn't quite understand her introduction and the subtitles seem to indicate her as the Elder princess, what is her status exactly and is she related to royalty? The emperor seems to yield to her, and why does she want Shen Yu Rong so specifically? Thanks!
Can we normalize eating all the food on the table in cdramas lol. Question to the readers please:Do they ever…
Sorry I only know a few answers: 2. I think in China, 'brother' is also used to refer to cousins. Meng Xiao Tian is her younger cousin (by 3 hours), and Meng Xiao Dong is her older cousin/coach who is the real brother of Meng Xiao Tian. 3. The ML said that he doesn't have a mother/father (from a flashback clip when he was younger), but said that he misses his grandpa most. He also mentioned that he was quite poor growing up, and that's why he only really knows how to ask Yin Guo out to eat food.

Afterwards, the FL watches the ML wrestling with her bf and they are introduced. They have dinner with everyone and it is so similar to the korean version even to the point where she goes outside to the bathroom and he stops her to say that there's already someone inside... I was like OMG!
is this remake of the kdrama "one spring night"? cause the plot and the settings in the 1st episode looks very…
I think it is mostly a remake. There are only minor changes like their occupation, the ML wrestles instead of play basketball, and he has a sick sister instead of a child. Much of the way they meet and interact are the same as 'one spring night' - i had no idea!
It might be too early on to tell, but I immediately felt the difference in 'quality' between this version and the Korean version. I really enjoyed the Korean version mainly for the ML's acting and natural FL, which I was looking out for in this drama. However, the ML actor ZWY (from what I've observed) doesn't seem to be able to grasp the subtleties of his character... He delivers his lines very monotone, without much expression/emotion and seems to smile at the wrong time or just stare blankly at the FL (he's supposed to have a crush on her??). I see shadows of his previous characters such as Cang Xuan from 'Love you forever' and Chen Hui from 'Fantastic Doctors'...but not in a good way as this is a romance drama ๐ . While I feel the FL in the Korean version is more natural in her acting, this FL is alright. This is just my opinion and it's only the start...so I shall wait for a few more episodes to decide...
This so feels the remake of the kdrama One Spring Night!
I noticed this too omg! they just changed some details like their occupation and they met in front of each otherโs significant other for the first time after wrestling and not basketball.
I am a bit late to the show, and the 58 episodes overwhelm me a little as I am more used to the 40 and under episodes of current dramas. However, I am quite keen on giving this a try! Could someone please let me know if there is a lot of angst, betrayal or misunderstandings? Is there quite a bit of romance in this, when do the leads 'get together'? I'm looking for a more happy and lovey drama at the moment, thanks ๐
