Um, this might be a cultural or generational difference. You do marry someone because they make you happy in the sense that you love being around them and want to spend the rest of your life with them. You should also get divorced if you are in an unhappy marriage and it is having an impact on your mental health.
I can see why this is a difficult choice for her due to societal pressure to stay married, even if you're unhappy and have a lying cheating husband.

How disappointing to see Doctor Cha not getting the support she needs for divorcing her husband. Her best friend telling her to think about how unhappy she would be if she had gotten divorced. What about how unhappy she would be if she stayed with her husband? I hate this mentality of women thinkkng marriage is the end all and be all even when your husband is cheating on you.
So-ra was the real MVP of this episode when she told Roy that now was his chance. She probably saw how her mom had to put up with an unhappy marriage, and could see that Doctor Cha shouldn't have to stay with a cheating husband when she could have a happy future with Roy.

Judging by your English, I think we may be from different cultures. I am Aussie so it is a bit different here in terms of divorced women remarrying. Where you’re from might be different. I am not judging. I was simply stating that I would want my son to be happy. I know in certain cultures they focus more on couples having kids and probably the idea of marrying a “ menopausal” woman as you put it would be heavily frowned upon.

If my 42-year-old son wanted to marry someone he loved, I would not stand in his way. I would support my son and not judge him or force him to leave a woman he loves, even if she is a 47-year-old divorced mother of two adult kids.

I think it’s a combination of falling for her and being angry about her overall situation. He does seem to be drawn to her and seems to go out of his way to spend time with her. He is also a good guy who doesn’t believe in the whole boys will be boys crap.

I think it would be nice if they gave us a time skip in the last episode and we see Dr. Kim and Dr. Cha together. The woman hasn’t had sex in 10 years!! If she was okay with never having sex again, she wouldn’t have told her best friend about the lack of sex in her marriage and she would not have asked In-ho to move back into their bedroom.
She also deserves to fall in love and be loved. She is obviously not okay with never finding love. If she were, she wouldn’t have been envious of that young couple. Plus, her best friend who has been happily single for years is now wanting to meet someone, and that is okay too. You can be an independent woman and still want to be in a happy relationship. You can have kids, be in a horrible relationship, get divorced, become independent, and still be open to meeting someone.
But I do believe for us to see her and Roy together, we will need a time skip. I don’t want it just hinted at in the end.

And? People are entitled to like what they like. I am relatively new to Kdramas but I have gotten use to seeing characters wearing designer brands even though they are meant to be poor or earn an average salary. Also, Kdramas seem to have dodgy timelines and hire actors that look nothing like the younger versions of the actors are playing. I just go with the flow.

While in the first episode her fashion sense and hairstyle weren't the most flattering, she started looking cuter and dressing okay in the episodes that followed. Perhaps the fringe did age her a bit as she did look very young in the final minutes of episode 16.
Anyway, I just don't get why women have to focus on how a woman dresses or how she looks. Is it really that important? Like I have said before CCIR caused an increase in sales of clothing similar to what NHS wore and it was a huge rating success. So her clothing didn't work for a minority. I personally didn't care for CCY fashion but again so what? It didn't make me like his character less.
Have you seen every single woman in her 30s and 40s and how they dress? Women are individuals. Style is individual. How we age is also individual.

No, if this were case, the drama would not have been the 10th highest rated drama in the history of Korean cable TV. The subplots while very good (the teens, the love triangle, the education system, even the murder plot to an extent) would not have been enough to keep viewers tuning in if it were not for the chemistry of the two leads. The series revolved around their blossoming romance, and if that hadn't have worked, then the show would not have been as successful.

There are some people who have criticized the age gap that is true. But it is inaccurate to say, " There is a lot of critics regarding the female lead age gap". The majority of people were not as critical as you.
For me at the end of episode 16 she looked very young. If you look at the women in the background when she is on the street with CCY, she looks either younger or the same age as them. She looked very cute too.

Her outfits were fine. YOU and a FEW others may have hated her outfits. I, myself, wouldn't wear what she would wear. But, who cares? This is how her character dressed and the whole point of CCY falling in love with her, was for herself, not how she looked, even though in saying that, she is a very attractive woman.
And, yes, for most people she looks younger than 50. At the end of the last episode we saw a more relaxed happier NHS and because of that she looked younger, even younger than CCY.
Fair enough that you "could not believe the situation at all", but why try to argue with the majority? This show along with the excellent "The Glory" was the biggest hit of the year. When you look at most of the comments (and likes for comments) here and on other platforms, you see that for most people, the actress completely took on the role in a very believable way. You are entitled to your own opinion but don't try to argue by saying, " I don’t know why people is so pressed about it" or "I am just bothered because it is clearly a misjudge from the cast directors, the writers or both". The casting directors and writers definitely did not make a mistake in casting JDY as NHS as again seen in how big a hit this show was and in the huge increase in the sale of certain items similar to what NHS wore in the show.

People are supporting the actress because they thought she did really well in the role. The majority of people did not think she looked 50 and she was very believable as someone in her late 30s. If she was not able to accurately portray this role, the TV show would not have been a huge hit. Have a look at sites outside of mydramalist, and you will see that most people who didn't know her age thought she was younger. In fact, even here you will see that you are in the minority.

Yep, I don't get all the criticism about her clothes. I mean I myself wouldn't wear some of her outfits, but so what? There are many women whose fashion I don't care for but who am I to tell others how to dress?
Also, I am not sure if many people are aware of this, but many stores saw a huge increase (60% to 90%) in sales of certain items similar to what NHS wore. So, whoever chose her outfits should definitely receive an award.

Aargh, how frustrating to see people still commenting on the female lead's age, looks and clothing. In what world do these people live in where everyone is young and wears what they deem to be fashionable clothes?
Someone even said that they should have gotten a younger actress?!? WTAF? This drama was a huge hit. Why the hell would you even suggest changing the actress?? Sales for certain clothing that NHS wore went up by 60% to 92%. Jeon Do Yeon is still the most buzzworthy actress with 84% of things written about her positive. Why the hell do we need a younger actress?
And the chemistry between the CCY and NHS worked because of both Jung Kyung Ho and Jeon Do Yeon, not only because of Jung Kyung Ho.
