"TO FEIGN DEATH" LMAO THERE WAS ABOUT 10 ARROWS IN HIM. BUT GO GEON COULDN'T GET UP AND WALK OFF HIS INJURIES?? IT WAS A FLESH WOUND LMAO I SEE YOUR BIAS DRAMA. I SEE IT.
i wonder if they will follow with what happens with the story esp on ondal's survival. bec with the story his…
I think they've set up a happy ending for the main couple tbh. See: Mr. Mysterious Monk guy telling On Dal about how he faked dying. *tries not to be bitter as a YongGeon stan*
Imagine what Mo Yong must have been through all those 4 loooooong years with the alcoholic GG.Nightmare...and…
HEY GANG :D i've actually been slowly going mad this past week lmao going back and forth from despair and apathy about what will happen, to getting my hopes up when I rewatch their past scenes, then back to despairing again XD I talk big in my comments above, but inside I'm preparing to drink lots and lots of alcohol in case all my worst-case scenarios for this couple come true tomorrow and tuesday. I'm actually more of a jdrama gal, so when this ends I'm gonna catch up on all the new ones that I've been ignoring because of this one kdrama. But maybe I'll try Flower of Evil too, I feel like everyone with good taste recommends that drama ;)

In the MOST ideal ending he wouldn't die for her, he'd live for her, and spend the rest of their lives apologizing for what he put her through, you know? But I'm 99.9% sure they're not gonna make it out of this show alive T_T so yeah he should die for her AT THE LEAST. He doesn't need to change his mind IMO, I just think he needs to own up to his actual feelings and stop being such a little b*tch (pardon my language lol)
Imagine what Mo Yong must have been through all those 4 loooooong years with the alcoholic GG.Nightmare...and…
I knooooow it would truly ruin this for me if she dies before him and that's what makes him ~realize~ her importance LMAO In the first place, THAT would be completely OOC for Mr. "I killed my father's man to keep her safe". General "I will tear you to pieces if you even LOOK at my wife". Call me a YongGeon truther but I believe she's very much still important to him. He knows she's the only who would ever put up with his dramatic ass LOL. He's just in his emo phase right now. So. Cross fingers he dies protecting her :D Or Mo Yong kills him herself idk I don't care anymore.
This one's for the YongGeon gang, in response to some comments below, so stop reading if you all find us annoying at this point LOL:
----- You don't tell someone "You're also the one I truly love" right before you go on a suicide mission and NOT mean it. He loves Mo Yong, he's just irrationally pissed at her for saving his life, and lashing out because he's a drama queen and a dumbass who wanted to die a glorious death avenging his father instead of living for the woman he loves.
I THINK in that conversation with the Princess, he was being reminded of everything he had lost up to that point, and his anger and his grief making him irrational, he blames the Princess for all of it. If only she had accepted him, if only they got married, none of this would have happened. It's not love for her, IMO, he was ready to kill her the night his father died, and I doubt he's forgiven her for that.
It COULD also be (although this is a bit of a reach, bcos there's no evidence for it) that he knew Mo Yong was listening in on them, and was trying to hurt her feelings even more. He does spend this entire episode being intentionally hurtful to her, and I THINK, IN MY OPINION, he's doing this to drive her away. It's survivor's guilt. You know how when a character faces the lowest point in their arc, they feel worthless so they lash out to everyone who cares about them? They say they hate everyone but in fact they hate themselves the most, because they feel like they deserve to die and they don't deserve to be loved? IMO, THAT'S where Go Geon is at in Episode 18. edit: just remembered their conversation after Mo Yong got kidnapped. "Do not leave my sight ever again. Even if you hate my guts, do not ever leave." MAYBE they're gonna call back to this line in the last episodes. I don't know how, and it makes me roll my eyes because it now comes at the expense of hurting Mo Yong >:( but I think they had Go Geon say that corny line so they can call back to it later LOL
I understand why the writers made this particular writing choice re: Go Geon. I don't think it's bad writing; it's SIMPLISTIC, it's super cliched, and very very unsexy lol. But it actually feels like an organic progression for GG's character, especially because you have to remember he had always been set up as an antagonist.
HAVING SAID ALL OF THAT, HAVING UNDERSTOOD WHY HE'S ACTING THE WAY HE'S ACTING, GO GEON IS STILL A RANK ASSHOLE FOR EVERYTHING HE CHOSE TO BE THIS EPISODE, FOR WHAT HE PUT MO YONG THROUGH FOR FOUR GODDAMN YEARS, AND I /WILL/ BE CHALLENGING HIM TO A FIGHT TO THE DEATH TO MAKE HIM PAY FOR HURTING MY GIRL
Me: Somebody resurrect his ass so I can kill him again. Mo Yong, my beloved you DID NOT deserve to be treated like this
(oh god I hope I didn't jinx them further with this joke comment)
