Yes! Even if you don't care much for a spy drama just give it a try. This genre is my least favorite genre ever but I am now so addicted to this drama.

Never thought I would love a republican drama this much lol. This drama is beyond my expectation in every way.

Umm I think the death tag just meant there are deaths in the drama, not necessarily the death of ML/FL. But if you meant you don't want to see ANY death then yeah skip this one because it's a republican drama and people are actively killing each other in every episode LOL.

This drama is seriously good. I am so addicted now! I usually avoid republican drama at all costs LOL but I have watched a few this year and Deep Lurk is the easiest one to watch since it's more actions and less political talks than others. They talked quite a bit in ep 1 since they had to give some background but trust me after ep.1 you get a lotttt of actions.

I am curious about this as well. I love CY but honestly I kinda had low expectation and thought maybe the drama wasn't very good that's why it was shelved for so long. But now that I am watching and it's great I have no idea why.

Watching episode 3 now and I am loving it so far! The story is moving fast with a lot of action.

Don't understand the low rating at all! I just finished ep.9 and it has been really good! This is a heavy drama and political so it takes a while to get into it. The first two episodes I wasn't so sure but by 3rd ep I was hooked. Many great actors!

I am praying for the second one to be good as well. If the 2nd is also bad then it's like all the last hope will be pinned on Cheng Yi. So much pressure 😭

My favorite actress and I only have 2 favorite Chinese actresses lol. Can't wait to see her with my beloved Cheng Yi. They look so good together and both are great actors.

I also watched the first one because I thought it would give me some background before watching part 3. I am more than half way now and don't think you need it (not for backstory anyway). I am planning to watch part 2 though.

Interesting analogy 😂 I am watching it too but probably will drop it soon 😭. I had really high expectation for FSMM especially for fox 3. Now I am kinda scared lol but I read the comments that 2 and 3 have different director and writer so there's still hope there.

If you like Gong Jun you should give it a try. Because I didn't care for Gong Jun (sorry) but I actually like him here. Overall I like this drama and will keep watching. Not sure why the rating is low but I don't trust the rating here (or anywhere lol).

Akkkk I didn't have time to watch over the weekend so I am still at EP 6. Now reading about all the exciting stuff in new EPs and just want to go home and watch it now 🤣

I am praying hard for the other 2 for better fight scenes. Yeah I have seen the leak videos and there seems to be quite a lot of wire work in the third chapter. I just don’t know if it’s because Hong Hong is a spirit and her magic is so powerful she doesn’t have to move much to win 😅. But even with Gong Jun fight scenes there were not much actions either just a few jumps and swoosh.
