I agree , her visuals and acting together is deadly combination for a dark aesthetic drama ( be it historical or modern ) I hope a role like that comes her way ^^
I mean in My Journey to You - she proved a baddie role would suit her (like it was historical drama but imagine her playing mafia in Moderna drama will be fire)
To ship someone - she proved she can pull off as a smart girl who can rewrite a story (like imagine her playing a bossy cupid in a drama like she comes from heaven to do pairing in real world and her getting stuck in that real world)
blossoms in adversity - she nailed the character which was out of the box like being the girl who is sharp at what she likes but developmentally different from normal people (like imagine her playing a role of someone who is faking pyschosis for her hidden agenda)
Love in the clouds-i love her scenes while fighting not to forget the chemistry with her co-star was perfection (wish she would do a action romance project with the same actor in modern setting)
love between lines- a strong independent women who handle situations maturely , friendship goals were so real in this drama. (maybe her playing a queen in historical drama or a lawyer would be awesome) In this same drama she nailed all the outfits (role oriented as fashion designer or a dancer or a player of game where she could change outfits of people around and herself to fulfill quests of that game would be so cool.)

I saw her interaction with Landy Li and Ouyang Na Na in Weibo night. They look so adorable together and Lu Yuxiao being the gentlewomen^^ and got to see her tiny bit of greeting with Che Zheyuan , quite interesting ; hoping to see them together in a project some day. But I have to say she slayed both her looks , I mean she looked phenomenal like ~.~

maybe he is her emotional blindspot , like she is not aware of what she is feeling towards him like he is bit different from humans whom she encountered.
I love the iconic haah of gumiho ^^ I m seriously enjoying this drama so far like the story gets better and better as it progresses . to be honest I prefer such type of drama where there is no instant love arc , everyone is acting humane rather than ideal people so as to fill the plot . I was bored of dramas promising cool plot from the very beginning and getting lost in the middle ,this drama keeps giving more as the story moves , which I appreciate. I mean every episode u can see how raw humans as a species are like the greed which exist , the way people would use money to get things done and how humans can feel selfless at times helping others . Gumiho being a different species away from the cycle of birth and death has a complete different point of view and how her actions makes sense most of the times and she really pointed to ml in ep 5 how clueless he can be lol. I mean she is trying to defy fate and in human lives how we are frustrated about little things is so well depicted . really looking forward to next episode as best thing about this drama is the cliffhanger which makes me think how this story will move ahead and I feel most of it is not cliche rather how a normal human life unfolds that's the exact way this story is moving which I find relatable rather than boring (like human aspect of drama feels natural ) I m glad Kim hye yoon chose this as she is carrying this story so well and its a story where there are no perfect characters , no perfect love arc rather characters who feel humane like reality .

I understand your point but maybe I m too indulged in her dramas that I just want her to be in as many as dramas as possible ^.^ And you are so right she can be picky as quality definitely matters over quantity , love her drama choices btw.^^
She is an incredibly underutilised talent . its surprising how casting directors haven't recognised what she brings to the screen like girl got only a single project she is working on right now instead of multiple projects that her caliber deserves . though I don't want her to overexert at the same time
