i just caught up with this series after neglecting it for a while, i have to say my rating and opinions from the…
This is just one of those series that people love to dogpile on. It’ll probably cool down after a while.
I personally think it’s nice to see a visible element of male friendship in a romantic relationship between two guys. You should be friends with your lover, that’s not an abnormal thing. Some people see them bump fists and thinks it negates the copious other scenes where they’re in love and intimate with each other.
A lot of shows will replace that playful energy with saccharine sweetness, but Kang and Sailom just added love on top of it and that enriched their dynamic for me.
I like OffGun and Neo so I’m firmly seated, but my expectations for this are through the floor. 💀
I’m expecting another almost insufferably lighthearted BL with too many side characters where they glance at each other and accidentally touch hands for ten episodes, fight in the eleventh, and all is well at the end.
The Eighth Sense, Semantic Error, Old Fashion Cupcake, To My Star, My Beautiful Man, Where Your Eyes Linger, Taikan Yoho and Blueming all have a similar level of quality with that relaxed yet dramatic slice-of-life vibe.
Well, I really liked it. Others moaned about their kissing, but that's just how Chimmon kisses. I think people…
That’s how I feel about it too. Plenty of real couples don’t kiss in a way that’s flattering behind a camera lens. It looked realistic for two inexperienced teenagers.
First two episodes down and honestly I’m… painfully underwhelmed? Jom has the personality (and intellect) of a house plant and the unnecessarily long pauses throughout every episode has my attention span waning.
I really hope it picks up but so far the high production value is not justifying the rave reviews for me. It’s still early on, so I’m open to loving it later.
It’s cute seeing how this author has similar little recurring themes within her works like birthdays (and more specifically, birthday cakes), memory boxes and found families.
Really solid show. Some minor complaints with the writing and pacing but the unique characters and chemistry are awesome.
I’m enjoying it so far but holy shit, everything happens so incredibly fast. I did not expect relationship development in the very first episode at all. I generally prefer a longer period of time where they’re disinterested before warning up to one another.
That being said, I suppose that means they’ll get straight to the good stuff and the meat of the plot? Sometimes the spark can take a little too long in other series.
All in all, solid first two episodes. The pacing just has me reeling a little.
um I'm kind of confused.... because of the synopsis....can someone enlighte me about the storyline?
They meet in school. Mizuki offers Yoh to live under his roof without paying a dime in exchange for Yoh doing everything Mizuki says: that way, Yoh can continue to be a manga artist (he’s barely making money) instead of working a regular job.
The series is mostly about why Mizuki made that offer, why Yoh accepted it, and whether their relationship is purely sex-based or romantic. Since both of them suck at communicating, that’s basically the entire plot.

Open to being wrong though!

No big deal, just leaving this reply so people can choose not to open your answer if they are avoiding heavy spoilers.
